The Green Bay Packers have used the original-round tender on receiver Geronimo Allison, according to Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

The one-year restricted tender is worth $2.025 million in 2019. It gives the Packers the right of first refusal if another team attempts to sign Allison, an undrafted free agent. However, if Allison and another team agree to an offer sheet and the Packers decide against matching, the Packers would lose Allison and receive no compensation in return.

The Green Bay Packers are bringing back veteran tight end Marcedes Lewis with a one-year deal, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Lewis, who turns 35 in May, signed a one-year deal to join the Packers last summer. He played in all 16 games in 2018 but managed only three catches for 39 yards.

The return of Lewis will give new coach Matt LaFleur an accomplished and willing blocker at tight end behind Jimmy Graham. Although Lewis was underused last season, he could be of much greater use to LaFleur, who plans to install a run-heavy offense in Green Bay.

The move also reunites Lewis with offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett, who was in Jacksonville with Lewis during the 2016 and 2017 seasons. Lewis had one of his best professional seasons in 2017, catching five touchdown passes and helping the Jaguars lead the NFL in rushing yards.

Safety Earl Thomas signed a four-year, $55 million contract with the Ravens on Wednesday, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported, per a source informed of the deal. ESPN first reported the pact.

The contract includes $32 million guaranteed and averages $14.33 million over the first three years, per Rapoport.

I don't think the Packers are close to done yet. It would not surprise me to see them sign a receiver like Golden Tate or one of the less-expensive-WR that's still available.
