One thing I see in Gutey that TT didn’t do is Gutey tried to put pieces that fit together. TT just got good pieces and expected the coaches to find a way to blend the mis matching pieces together. Going after Savage shows a clear effort at putting the right piece in the right place.0

I think Gary fits in that slot more than Savage. If you want a speedy deep safety, almost anyone would see it in Savage. With Gary, you have to project a bit.Originally posted by JustinHarrell View PostOne thing I see in Gutey that TT didn’t do is Gutey tried to put pieces that fit together. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Haven't kept up to date on this thread. Really like Savage. According to the Jimmy Johnson chart, we got good value in the trade. Kept our two day 2 picks. No excuse not to have a good defense this year."There's a lot of interest in the draft. It's great. But quite frankly, most of the people that are commenting on it don't know anything about what they are talking about."--Ted Thompson

Counterpoint: Towards the end of TT's tenure, it was abundantly clear they just didn't have the speedy horses to roll with the Falcons and other teams. I remember just thinking how slow and clunky they looked against the Falcons in the NFCC and how I knew they had no chance about 5 minutes into the game when seeing the speed difference.Originally posted by bobblehead View PostTT said towards the end " I have made the mistake of falling in love with athletes instead of football players at times". This was even more eye popping from Scoops. His sources liked Gary much more than Oliver. Interesting.Originally posted by mraynrand View Post'Scoops' is a Michigan apologist
"Twelve of the 14 execs selected Williams as the best defensive lineman; Simmons claimed the other two firsts. Each scout was asked to rank his top seven players, with a first-place vote worth seven points, a second-place vote worth six and so on.
Williams led with 96 points. Following, in order, were Simmons (67), Gary (64), Oliver (49), Dexter Lawrence (37), Wilkins (35), Tillery (16), Jones (15), Allen (six), Hill (four) and Khalen Saunders (three)."

Pettine has to be so excited. Adrian Amos, z Smith, p smith, Gary and Savage. All in one offseason. And he’s gonna get a ton of second year improvement from the guys coming back. AR needs to calm the fuck down and let the defense win for him. This is becoming a different team.Formerly known as JustinHarrell.

89 GRADE
NFL draft profile: Montez Sweat
Montez Sweat is a flexible athlete out of Mississippi State with the ability to bend and frequently get offensive tackles off balance.
Pre-Draft Analysis
Sweat is a flexible athlete with the ability to bend, and he frequently gets offensive tackles off balance with elite speed off the edge. He displays very good change-of-direction skills on outside-in pass-rush moves. He has excellent length and good upper-body strength. He's a disruptive and rangy run-defender.Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.
