Beneath all the incoherence, I wonder if what he's dealing with is a degenerative Achilles. Not tendonitis but tendonosis. It often presents near the insertion point on the calcus (which is not an especially small bone). If that's not what's going on, I am lost.

I am very intrigued to see if this is a big moment or not if other players who are constantly banged up if players decide to get out sooner rather than later. Get a couple of million dollars, don't be stupid with the money and they're set for life.
