Pack D played pretty darn well! Missed two turnovers but only let up 3 on extremely short field.

it would work if all the coverage guys just leave the ball there and turn and walk towards the sideline. then it would work to pick it up and runOriginally posted by channtheman View PostI know that. The chance of you picking the ball up and making a decent return with five or six defenders standing over you is so slim and if you pick it up and gain possession of the ball, you can fumble it at that point.

Are you saying the returner can pick the ball up, run 5 yards, fumble it, and even if the kicking team recovers, the ball reverts back to the receiving team? I was under the impression that you can only not muff the punt, but once you gain possession of the ball, you can still fumble it like normal.Originally posted by ThunderDan View PostNo risk, very little reward.

chicken or the egg at this point
what we do know, is the D doesn't suck against a bad offense

yep, goes back to the spot of the original touch by the covering team.Originally posted by channtheman View PostAre you saying the returner can pick the ball up, run 5 yards, fumble it, and even if the kicking team recovers, the ball reverts back to the receiving team?"Never, never ever support a punk like mraynrand. Once kicking team touches the ball, the receiving team can always choose to take the ball at that spot no matter what happens after.Originally posted by channtheman View PostAre you saying the returner can pick the ball up, run 5 yards, fumble it, and even if the kicking team recovers, the ball reverts back to the receiving team? yeah, it was a terrible dealOriginally posted by pbmax View PostYeah, I'm with you now. Did not know the deal was that lopsided.
but i guess when you quit on your last team, and no one else really wants you, you gotta take what you can get
plus brown doesn't seem like the smartest guy in the world

So 2nd half adj. Have to establish a respective run game to setup play action. Anything else??The measure of who we are is what we do with what we have.
