  • Lotta people lost money last night. Carolina was the hot bet. I don’t like to bet this early in the season.

    • Browns uniforms hideous. They deserve to lose.

Vrabel’s mustache is on point. He deserves to win.

      • Watching the browns game... their offense is way better than they played. Their defense is exactly what you’d expect from a Morgan Burnett/Damarius Randall safety tandem. They aren’t very good.

I could see the Browns winning 7, 8, 9, maybe even 10 games if they’re lucky. I do NOT see a title contender. They’re way better than that score though. And the Titans are decent. Mariotta is underrated and their STs are really good. Obviously Henry is good.

Browns had a million penalties and shot themselves in the foot. I do expect a bounce back.

        • Titans were pissed about all the off season press the Browns got. Coach got em fired up. Cleveland was not ready

He's reached the McNair limit. And that isn't a race based comparison. He might be literally too beat up to function anymore. My fear is Rodgers is in the same boat.

If the policy is you have to leave field for 30 minutes if there's a lightning strike within 8 miles of stadium, then why wouldn't you have to reset additional 30 minutes if there was an additional lightning strike within that same vicinity?

I just can't wait for the day we get screwed over b/c we lost momentum due to long delay or say the game was deemed to have been played long enough for an official result, with the Packers losing 17-16 early in the 4th quarter. That day is coming.

                You have been warned.
I might be angry for a bit, but I'll take fewer injuries as a win.

Speaking of which, has anyone every been struck by lightning at a game?

I lost them in both Pick'em Pools.

His body language on the field is awful. I think he’s so untouchable that there’s no one to tell him to buck up. He is legitimately hurt and hurting but he’s clearly also playing the ‘poor me’ deal for all it’s worth so that it’s actually impossible to tell what dysfunction is due to physical problems and what is due to mental issues. But I think both are in play.

Rodgers’ mental issues probably involve some element of “If I don’t perform up to snuff what are they gonna go, put Boyle in there? lol”

Perhaps. He's always looked like whatever emotion he is currently having plastered in large letters on his forehead.

But he is also literally at twice the hits that any other quarterback has taken on runs (Young, Vick, Cunningham, couple of others) so I buy he is feeling the effects. He also came back quickly from a foot problem in camp and that isn't helping.

Cam also gets fewer calls than Rodgers with pressure, Vita Vea hit him in the head and no flag. Cam might be the last player to help keep the flag in the pockets of the rest.

                      • Watched the Jags chiefs. Gardner Minshew is a damn natural! He’s Matt Flynn with a bigger arm and better movement. The knock on him is his average arm strength, but at least it’s average compared to Flynn’s below average arm. Dude is savvy af though. I expect him to be a winning NFL QB. He has the stuff. Accurate, calm, competitive, smart. The hype looks real to me.

                          • Steelers fall to 0-2. Big Ben and Conner hurt. This may be the end of the line for Mike Tomlin.

                            • Refs just blew it in the Saints game. Blew the play dead saying it was forward pass from Goff, when it looks like it was actually a fumble. Saints returned the fumbler for a TD, but since the ref blew the play dead it doesn't count.

                              • Refs completely screw the Saints again. Goff fumbled and Jordan returns it for a TD. They blew the play dead and called it incomplete. Was reviewed and overturned giving the Saints the ball at their own 12 yd line and taking away the TD.
