Not really. Reid was the last acolyte you could directly trace to Walsh. Gruden is back but who knows what he wants to do.Originally posted by Zool View PostSo is it WCO anymore?
But the basic points, route concepts versus zone, it'll always be around. He'd still torture Cover 2.
So the playbook is gone. But the influence (plays and ideas) remain.Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

You misunderstand what I want. When I botched about m3 he was calling 9...NINE run plays a game and no....ZERO short passes underneath. It was a disaster. Again, I don't necessarily advocate for one version or the other, simply the theory. Run well and enough. Pass underneath. If they collapse on it pass over the top. It ain't rocket science and u can do it Walsh, shannahan or vermeil style. Doesn't matter.Originally posted by Anti-Polar Bear View PostNot to be a smart-ass, but the only thing the WCO and the Air Coryell have in common is they both are pass-first schemes. Yeah, It would be nice to have a branch off the Coryell or Martz coaching tree.Originally posted by Anti-Polar Bear View PostNot to be a smart-ass, but the only thing the WCO and the Air Coryell have in common is they both are pass-first schemes. After Sunday's game, though, it seems like maybe LaFleur is coming around to something resembling that too. What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?

The max was 4. Pretty incredible.Originally posted by Smidgeon View PostTwo thoughts: Rodgers' most impressive stat to me was how balanced the receptions were. Nobody had just one, and nobody had 10 (forget the max). The ball was spread around consistently which is impressive without Adams.
Second, this D is giving up yards, but they tighten at the goal line. I'll take that for now.
