  • The Official Packers Lions Game Day Thread

Here we are week 17 of the season. Before the season started I was worried about finishing at Det and dropping the last 2 games of the season. Instead we meet a team that has been severely hampered with injuries this year.

The Packers should win this game going away. They should have the motivation and talent to dominate this game. Det is starting their 3rd string QB and if we can get a rush like last week don’t be surprised if we get 3 turnovers during the game.

I don’t see how but if the Packers somehow look past this game it will be close.

    Packers win, 34-13.
But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

A chip on the shoulder game (see pic below). Rodgers didn't make the top 10 list on NFL for QBs and Jones is now living in chip land as well.

Detroit will scheme their way on D to make it close and the pass blocking on the edges will be dodgy at times on the road.

Second half adjustments win the day. Packers 27 Lions 20

Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

This will be a good barometer of this team's character. Will they show up to play, like a championship team, or will they let a strong Lions effort bitch-slap them? The Flower needs to make sure they don't think they can walk out onto Ford Field and expect the Leos to lay down for them.

All this talk about a great locker room and having the right mind-set? We'll see today.

Obligatory game day pessimistic post: this will come down to a winning field goal attempt on one side or the other.

So I guess Raven Greene not ready yet?

                    But Ka'Dar Hollman is BACK!

No surprise on Jamaal Williams being out. Presumably means chances for Dexter Williams. With Tony Brown's release, Ka'Dar Hollman is up.

That’s horrible, not a personal foul.
