I'm really surprised that the vote was that close. This was the best deal the players were going to get. If they wanted to blow up the current system, the eventual conclusion would be lead to less than they have now.Comment

I agree. Rodgers' suggestion of adding a bye week but sticking with 16 games seemed reasonable. Or at least a reasonable starting point. Owners get another week of television revenue without the players having to play another game.I can't run no more with that lawless crowd
