Or maybe the Giants could trade into the #2 spot and grab the Sewell kid from the northwest. Looks like best OT prospect in 20 years. The kid they drafted this year is playing well, for a kid. Move him to the right and have the generational LT on Jones blind side. Then just hope the young guys in the middle develop.

Either way, I'm pulling for the Giants to land the top pick and trade out. They're so young, and in some ways playing like shit. But they landed a QB, DT and LT in the last couple drafts and I love their future. One more stud big guy and they have a recipe for lasting success

I don't know how you van pull for the Giants. 2007 and 2011 hurt man

I can only assume you think Cam is "ordinary" and that is how you drew that conclusion. Cam is a former Heisman winner, National Champion, MVP and Owl attendee. I don't think he is the greatest thing, I think he will be a really good QB, but where it was near guaranteed that Burrow translated to the pros, Lawrence isn't a LOCK.

I see maybe 10 good DTs in the whole league and probably 70 good WRs.

The Giants landed a good DT in Dexter Lawrence last year. If he works at his craft he could be in the up and coming group of 10. I'd love to see them somehow luck into one more. They'd be the one team in the league who could consistently menace the QB from the inside. Well, maybe two teams if Aaron Donald keeps up his level of play.

As for the Packers, we have Clark, in the top 5 and keke developing into one of the top 20 (servicable bigs.) The rest of the NFL is a bunch of Lowrys and Lancasters.
There is a reason mock drafts always have 8 WR going in the 1st round, but the real drafts always have 20 big men going in the first round.

Well, as a matter of fact ....... hahahahaha.

Maybe what I should have said is that your second of those two posts is contradictory in and of itself - comparing in one line Lawrence to the GOAT and Cam and Andrew Luck. Luck is out of football at age 31 after a not very distinguished career. Cam is good in a lot of ways, but I'd say he is far from the best black QB, also far from the best mobile running QB, and certainly very far from the best passing QB. That puts him probably above ordinary, but very much below Rodgers or probably Mahomes or Lamar Jackson, although those last two need to do it at a high level for a decade or so to get top level status.

I agree, Lawrence isn't a "lock", and neither is Burrow. I wouldn't bet against either being great, even Hall of Fame level before they are through, but there's only one Aaron Rodgers, and I absolutely would bet against either of them reaching THAT level.

True - Lawrence is not a lock. He's pretty good and has had lots of seasoning in the ACC and playing at highest levels of CFB, which is saying something.
Jury's out on Burrow, but I liked his pocket presence, accuracy and decision making at LSU and I think it will eventually translate.

Luck was a good player who couldn't stay healthy and decided he'd had enough of rehab. I don't blame him for limping away while he still could. The guy had a lacerated liver or something at one point.

re: Cam, he's a good but not great QB. He used to do some amazing things with his feet and size, but I think age and hits are going to get him. Unreal athlete, still has lapses in decision making or reading coverage...but he can run an offense to the playoffs. I don't think he can carry one to the Owl anymore...not without some great supporting players. Jackson and Mahomes are the current "It" QBs, and they are good.
Rodgers is having a pretty darn good year so far as well, and I'm enjoying it immensely. A lot of the chatter is that he and Wilson are the MVP frontrunners after 4 games.

It's great to have an elite QB on your team.

I've leave it to others to debate whether Lawrence will be elite.

Looked like Jets might put their lead in jeopardy. But no, they came through. Call it The Flacco Factor.

Quite a race between Jets and Jaguars. Jets are 0-12 and Jaguars are 1-11. If they tie, I believe tie-breaker is strength of schedule. Right now Jags have the weaker SOS, so they would be #1. Jets remaining schedule is
@Seahawks, @Rams, vs Browns, @Patriots. Jags have vs Titans, @Ravens, vs Bears, @Colts.

I kinda hope jags get that QB. Jets will ruin whoever they get. Jags have a chance to do something with it.

Yeah that Jags really have a track record of excellence and developing players into something special. IMO, Jets are gonna turn it around long before the Jags do.

Jags have an owner that wants to win. Eventually he's going to get what he wants. I do not see that same thing in Jersey.

Exactly why I'd root for the Jets to keep on losing, We don't need another non-ruined star QB in the league.
