We also have six of the last 8 at home, when fans may be back

After the bye it’s 123 49ers on Thursday.
49ers, fatigued, beat up, week 9 with no bye to rest, Thursday, short rest. That’s a great schedule to beat our worst matchup team.

We also see Tampa just out the bye. Decent chance they’re beat up.

And bears twice in the last 7 weeks.

It’s really not a bad schedule other than that. And the NFL is seeing what seems like record season Enders so the schedule might look even better as time goes on if we can get a grip on this fatigue injury thing.

Like I said, I’ll be feeling pretty good if we get out of this next one healthy, even if it’s a L. I’d feel a lot better about health and a L than two season Enders and a win.

Health is more of a concern league wide than I can ever remeber. I was expecting a little more illness misses this year but actual injury are through the roof. Perhaps this will reduce the desire to reduce the preseason a bit.

As to facing the 9ers they are going to heal over the next 4 weeks and we will be catching them once many of there starters are back. Still the hardest game on our schedule imo.

If we are short Clark and Alexander our d should get to play in the big ten

Somehow, I doubt the Packers staff is nearly as worried as a lot of people in here. Notice all those "questionables" - they don't seem to use the label "probable" any more. Questionable generally means about 50/50, but undoubtedly a lot of those new things where the guy played most of the game last week would be probable and way better than 50/50. I mean Jaire, Scott, Linsley, Ervin, Zadarius, etc.

        We'll be fine. R E L A X !

I’d rest everyone and just drop one if it happens. Get everyone back after the bye and be close to 100% plus start the new season in football shape.

          Clark
          Alexander
          Davante
          Gary
          Z
          Lindsley

Rest em all and come back in week 6 ready to rumble with a huge health advantage

The Green Bay Packers and Atlanta Falcons have a new starting time on “Monday Night Football.”

The NFL pushed back the start of the primetime showdown to 7:50 p.m. CT to accommodate the rescheduling of the matchup between New England Patriots and Kansas City Chiefs, which was moved to Monday. The Patriots and Chiefs will kickoff at 6:05 p.m. CT.
I'm not sure why they needed to do that. What's the difference? The first game will still be going on when the Packers game starts.

Full second half of the game is better than them coming over when it's almost over. And catching the halftime show is a little summary of what happened so it primes the audience to stick around to see the finish.

What the fuck are you talking about? They didn’t even play a single preseason game and injuries are still “through the roof.”

Could it be that the lack of preseason games is why the players aren’t totally prepared for the hard knocks life of the regular season? Or could be it that some players are just milksop and can’t be counted on to play every fucking game - cough, Fresno Fraud, cough -?

Fuck, I stand corrected...except for the part about some players being milksops.

Reduce the desire to shorten the preseason. As in, it shows that the preseason is good for getting guys physically ready by slowly getting into football shape. Then teams give starters a full week off before the season. They’re healthy, rested and in football shape to start the regular season.

This bye, if we don’t push our beat up, already compromised players on the field.... this bye will give them the rest they need to be in football shape, rested, and ready for a long season.

I’d like to see Dillon brought into this one. Block everyone except Dione Jones and let Dillon battering ram into him a couple times and see what happens.

Julio Jones and Ridley expected to be active. Falcons with a decided advantage there.

Sounds like maybe Adams not happy with the decision:

In case the tweet from Adams gets deleted, here’s the full, unedited copy: “Sorry fans and friends I wont be on the field tonight. I’ve done everything I need to do and proved Im ready but I guess I don’t know my body as well as others. Good luck out there my boys”
