        Never said they should. Was ok w/ the hand to head but the shot to knees can be year ending. They call those for a reason

            Was just talking about that. Not supposed to hit a slidding QB, but what if he's slidding over the goal line?

            Edit: ruling is he gave himself up, so should have been a flag.

                  How can it be both ways. If he ‘gives himself up’ with the dive - then it is a late hit. I think he dove and should’ve been a TD. Weird call/situation.

                              I didn't know about the "give homself up" rule when I made my comment. Agree now it could have been a penalty

                                Really? Wow, diving head first is giving yourself up like running away from a gunman and getting shot in the back is giving yourself up.
