  • The more I read about him, the more I'm liking the pick. Seems like an ascending player.

Am I in the minority ? I think Savage is going to be really good still

        • A little surprised but not disappointed with Stokes. Great speed. Knock against him is he's sometimes too grabby. Will need to coach him out of that.

Tony Pauline’s Eric Stokes Scouting Report
Positives: Underrated cornerback with the size and play speed to start in the NFL. Physical, battles opponents throughout the route, and tracks the ball in the air. Possesses excellent length, effectively diagnoses the action, and has a closing burst. Possesses good hands for the interception. Easily runs downfield with opponents. Gives effort defending the run and wraps up tackling.

Negatives: Doesn’t flip his hips off the line and loses a half-step transitioning with opponents. Gets a little grabby in coverage.

Analysis: Stokes possesses terrific measurables and has shown developing ball skills. He’s effective facing the action while also displaying the ability to make plays with his back to the ball. Stokes comes with a large upside and offers potential in nickel packages early in his NFL career, and he could eventually develop into a first-team player.

They can get the boxing gloves they used with Grabby Smurf.
But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

                • I would not have taken Stokes, but I think he's have been on my top 5-7 there so I'm more content that I normally am after day 1 )))

But I really really hope they go with a ILB round 2 and add a guy who can make plays there

My guess i the WR's I really like are gone by round two and unlike the whispers I really don't think this years WR core was nearly as talented as last years

                    • If you think about it though, it makes sense. Campbell and Melifonwu is too stiff. They didn't hit the Packers minimum testing requirements. Samuel is short. He doesn't meet the Packers minimum height requirements. Joseph fits what the Packers want, but he has character concerns. When you look at it that way, you have Stokes and the next guy on the Packers board is probably Paulson Adebo. There's a pretty good difference there. I like Aaron Robinson, but he's more of a slot CB.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Packers doubled up at CB, if Kelvin Joseph (round 3) or Marco Wilson (round 4) later.

I really want one of my Bison guys in round 2, Radunz and Jabril Cox. I think they both fit what the Packers want at their positions.

I think we’re going to keep on searching after this. Admit the scouting process sucks and fire everyone that doesn’t grade mid-round offensive linemen.
We actually have a good secondary. Kevin King just shit the bed in the NFC Championship game. Jaire is All-Pro and Savage and Amos are above average starters in the NFL.

                              HA

TRUTH BE TOLD I'd be really excited about either of these picks there. I'd even bless using a 4th to trade up and get one of them ))

Would you agree Radunz is most likely gone by pick 60 and Cox has a decent chance of being there ?

He ran 4.31 at his Pro Day with a 6.9 3 cone, 38 1/2" vertical, and 128" broad jump. He's very scheme versatile. He can play zone, man, and press. He has solid ball skills, solid tackler, good instincts. He and the other Georgia CB can get grabby at times though.
I agree... but you knew they weren't going to even look at JOK.

I wanted Bateman, but when he went I was hoping Barmore. Big guys like that are such a projection though.

Heard Barmore had some weird interviews at the combine, some teams took him off their board b/c of that.
