Patler, really miss him, btw, was all: "You dumb mutha' fucka's been smokin' too much of that crack rock, yo'." IIRC that was a direct quote.

As was his wont, he was correct.
Crosby still gets my blood pressure up every time I see him kick a potential game winner. Can’t be good for my back.

Amen! Thompson was steadfast enough to keep him through those few years of inconsistency and it's paid off in aces these last many years. Not to mention he stopped Cannon's kickoff return from scoring and has great speed for a kicker and a willingness to mix it up.

"Pure Gold Jerry, Pure Gold" when it comes to Crosby.

No Bahk, No Elgton, rookies on the OL,
A DL that hasn't been up to the task in run D (and King in the slot?)

          None of this bodes well.

SF is banged up too, but who blocks Bosa, Ford and Armstead?

Fred Warner can probably bottle up Aaron Jones.

Not thinking they get a W, but if they play well and put up a good fight that would be encouraging. When MLF's team losses, it's usually by a big margin so who knows.
Happy to eat crow on this one.

          • Clark, P. Smith, and Gary with 5+ pressures each and good against the run game.

He's been clutch most of his career. He had one bad year in 2012. Green Bay is one of the hardest places in the NFL to kick. He could finish his career in the top ten of scoring all time. He's a beast...there is a reason a guy like Aaron Rodgers pumps his fist when he can clock the ball at the 33 yard line with 3 seconds left.

                • As an aside on Mason...he has only missed 3 field goals (30 for 33) and hit all 69 extra points during his career in the postseason. CLUTCH.

                  • Mason Crosby is expensive but worth it. Ask the Bears or the Vikings how important a good K is. Dude is clutch and that matters for the playoffs.

Also, he tackles way better than JK Scott ever did. I guess playing safety in high school helps.

That game against the Lions was such an odd blip. He missed 4 FGs that day I think? Indoors? Something was in the water that day.

Most of his career? Yes. Not necessarily early. I remember him missing several crucial kicks early. Now, he seems almost automatic from any distance when we really need him.

                        • Pressures? What's that old line about only in horseshoes and hand grenades?
What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?

Pressure forced Garoppolo's fumble. Pressure forced what should have been intentional grounding on the last drive of the 1st half. Pressure forced an INT by Goff the week before. Lack of pressure made Jameis Winston look like a Pro Bowler in Week 1.

MFL evens his record against Shanahan to 2-2, right? Has to feel good. Give MLF credit. ARod said MLF drew up the first play on the last drive in practice this week.
Disagree on Gary. Agree on the rest. He did nothing as far as pass rush again. Color me unimpressed that he can hold up against the run. While important it is also tablestakes to play. Nobody is impressed with a #12 pick who is a pretty good run defender.

Disagree. He bull rushed his way through a single blocker a few times when the bro held the ball too long. Gary didn’t really impress me at all. He is not half the pass rusher Z is IMO.
