The Packers did not start well last year against Tampa Bay. I don't recall the last time they did, in a playoff game.

So I think it's important to set the tone. On defense, for sure, but on offense, too. It sucks the winds out of your sails if your defense stops the opponent on their first drive but your offense sputters out the gate.

I agree with this. It seems like every playoff game we lose, we entirely shit the bed in the first half. Then we scramble to look respectable in the second half. And if I'm laying blame, its equal all around. Rodgers starts sluggish, the defense gives up long TD drives and guys who don't turn the ball over turn it over. If its 0-0 after a quarter I think we will blow them out.

This team is primed for the playoffs. No glaring weakness this year (i.e. run defense) and no major injuries outside of Jenkins (although it remains to be seen how effective Alexander, Z. Smith, Mercilus and Bak are).

As they long as the offense remains balanced and they contain Samuel I see little reason to see them losing this game. Pack 27 - 49ers 17. I wouldn't expect it to come down to a last second field goal by Crosby but even given the ups and downs of this year I'd still bet he comes through if needed. Just hope it's not that close.

That's always the question in this situation. Packers are healthy and rested, but they're playing a team that had to beat 2 good teams on the road just to get here.
