I watched the Christian Watson video. He definitely has the most upside in this draft. His movement skills for his size are off the charts. He moves like hes 6-1.

Hes going to take a little bit to develop with the limited route tree from college.

Hell probably always have concentration drops.

But his upside is off the charts. The Packers like to draft for upside over polish. Hes definitely a Packer type pick.

I wish we could trade down and get him, but I suspect KC has a lot of interest in him too. They like their athletic freaks (Tyreek, Mecole Hardman). Rumors are KC is looking to move up, probably past us. Watson is going to be this year's Brandon Aiyuk for me.

Of those 21 guys you listed, only 4 are under 195 pounds (none under 180 pounds). Tyreek is an athletic freak. Built like a fire hydrant, runs like the wind. The others are Tyler Lockett, Calvin Ridley, and Diontae Johnson. Lockett and Ridley are low 4.4s with good 3 cone. Johnson is the big outlier with his size and average testing. Lockett has a bit more speed, burst, and agility in testing than Dotson--but it's close and I see Dotson as a similar player.

I see Watson as a the best MLF fit (with special teams plus). Pierce as the best Aaron Rodgers fit, and more affordable: they could get him at the top of round two. The only two guys I watched interviews on: they fit the GB character profile imo. If they were to move down I could see them getting both.

I haven't watched Tolbert and like Pickens a lot.

Packers had Pickens and Watkins in for team interview. Pierce, they don't need too: MLF is friends with his OC in Cincinnati.

Alec Pierce is definitely a red flag. A second round pick for a QB and only 880 yards. The next guy had 550. Not good.
Cincinnati ran the ball a lot. More than they threw it. And they spread the ball around when they threw it. Had 8 guys with 200 or more receiving yards.

I read an article on Watson in a Tampa newspaper. Apparently, as a junior in high school during the recruiting cycle, he was 6'0" 170 and ran a 4.7 40--which explains no offers. He had a huge growth spurt as a senior. He was 6'3" 195 by the end of his senior year. NDSU has connections around the country. They tend to get lineman from the upper midwest and their skill position players from Florida, Texas, and Georgia. Watson's high school coach told NDSU that they had a guy who would be playing on Sundays. NDSU offered. He later got interest from other colleges, but Watson stuck to his original commit. Similar story to Trey Lance. Once NDSU offered Lance a spot to play QB (he had previously got offers from Big 10 schools to play LB or S), Boise State came in and offered a spot as a QB. Trey's brother, Bryce, is a WR on NDSU. That is why he was back in Fargo and how my daughter got his autograph (again).

TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

I read a thing that Olave praised Aaron Rodgers as the greatest ever and said everybody would want to play with him - that shows the guy is smart on a couple of levels hahahaha. My ideal first round would be tp get both Olave and Watson. Yeah, two WRs in the first round - we just don't have any other pressing needs, and any other positions can be addressed in the second and lower.

Although there's NO WAY I'm going to do this, I'd love to see who the QB's that were on the teams of the GREAT PICKS and BUSTS and the correlation.

I was king of thinking the same thing. Are Driver, Jennings, Jordy etc. as good if drafted by Jets or Jags? And maybe teams like the Packers who have had great QB's don't draft WR's in the 1st round because they feel they don't need to.

I think a great QB can make an ok WR good and a good WR great, but you're a bad WR there's not much of a future for you.

Might need to, because I think the Chiefs might want him too.

I was listening to a Brett Kollman podcast, and he said rumors are the Saints may be interested in him at #19.

Might not be the worst thing--since it would drop another WR down to us. However, a run on WRs in round 1 might be a bad thing if we are looking to snag one in round 2.
