Thought I would revive this thread, since the off-season is in full swing and idiotic articles are appearing daily.

I HOPE I am proven wrong about the stupidity of this:



Hendrickson and pick #81? I would be ecstatic if they got Hendrickson or pick#81. I think they could get a day 3 pick at most for Alexander, .... but more likely nothing at all, and they simply release him.

I sure hope Knox is right and I am wrong about the value of Alexander in a trade.

I think I read that article, but the way I recalled it was the packers also trading their 2nd in the deal.

In reality, I think given Jaire's inability to stay healthy and Hendrickson's stellar record of being healthy that deal MINUS the 3rd round pick back would make some sense.

edit: The reality of it is, many in the organization think Jaire faked injury, and I'm not inclined to think they are wrong. Jaire CAN'T be on the roster this season no matter how good his attitude seems in June. Packers have to cut him if they can't trade him, so if they can package him with a 2nd for a stud its a no brainer in my book. A fresh start with a new team might make him want to play at least for a season. Returning to the Packers will end with his imaginary grudge for not being worshipped the way he feels he should be, and with another wasted season and a lot of money given to him.

I may have goofed up here. As can be seen from the quote in my post above, I only saw an article about Knox's article and quoted from that. I didn't see the original Knox article itself. If GB sent a draft pick with Alexander in the deal it could make some sense.

Meh, it happens. I post in FYI a lot so I tend to fact check a lot of things before I post because I look like a tool if I'm wrong. I don't mind being wrong on a hot take about sports, but I hate egg on my face because I believed something a rando reporter said.

This side of the forum isn't "adversarial" so mistakes are more a blush than anything. (unless you oversell your position and act the fool ala Skinbasket on Jordan Love and Clifford)
