    Superb reference , Little Buddy!

    Or are you Mr. Howell?

I am rooting for Carlsen simply because he’d have the best nickname ever - it can change depending on how he’s doing.

    Warm Carlsen
    Hot Carlsen
    Cold Carlsen

And who doesn’t like a scatological reference for a kicker?

With my username, it's The Professor of course.

And to tie Alan Hale in with the Packers, he was in a crappy movie filmed in Wisconsin called "The Giant Spider Invasion", and in the MST3K sendup, every time there was a mob scene, they riffed "The Packers won the Superbowl!"

      • Draft status and fan favorite nickname not withstanding, Carlson is losing the battle. I don't see him turning it around. He needs Joseph to win it for him by imploding at the end.

Dammit! I spent a a couple of bucks on some of his nicer rookie cards. Worse yet, I’m too old to have a bicycle to use them on the spokes.

Packers sign Nate McCrary to be a training camp body since now Jarveon Howard is out, too.

I'm telling you, we should be slightly concerned about Marshmallow Lloyd. Not so much that it interrupts the pleasure of our morning dump, but enough to be inspired to say mean things about him without really knowing anything.

I've always felt badly for the guys like Howard, who is struggling his ass off to make an impression, maybe make the practice squad, and when he gets an opportunity, he gets injured. That's gotta suck.

            • Was at practice today. Saw Dillard stone Gary in 1 on 1. Nice to see. Tenuta was taking a lot of reps at RG with the 2's. Is that new? Rhyan was getting the reps at RG with the 1's. Monk was getting the reps at C with the 2's.

              • Monk is just a great name for a center. Hopefully he lives up to that level of unrealistic expectation.

                  • Jarveon Howard has an ankle injury I believe.

Monk played pretty good vs. CLE it seems. He'll fight Rhyan for backup IOL snaps the year and possibly starting C snaps next year

                    • Monk and Rhyan played very well together. A glimpse of the future probably.

It's an ankle. No word on severity. It's a travel day so MLF not doing PC.

                        • I've been wondering what the heck is going on with Sean Clifford. His accuracy - which was not previously an issue - has become an issue. Makes me wonder if he has been instructed to work on some aspect of his throwing form - footwork or arm angle or something - and that he's focusing so much on that part that his throws are off base.

If that's the case, could he lose his job because he's trying to do what the coaches instructed him to do? And if that is the case, will they cut him more slack than they might otherwise?

On the flip side, if I'm reading correctly, Pratt has a stronger arm, yes?

                          • Pratt definitely has a stronger arm. Clifford has a better release, or at least he did before this potential change in mechanics? I don't see why they'd actually do that, though.

                            • I think it’s a good thing the Packers offense struggled during joint practices. There is minimal “real” live game work during training camp, so any opportunity to play real competition exposes areas that need improvement.

                              • Apparently Court Sutton ate Jaire's lunch and Jaire responded about like I expected. Not by buckling down and stopping him next series, but by shoving him and acting the fool.
