On the last play of practice, rookie Evan Williams picked off Love in the end zone on a pass intended for Christian Watson who ended up face down and in pain. He was down for more than 2 minutes receiving attention from medical/training staff before finally getting to his feet.Rob Demovsky

Watson seems OK now. He took off his pads on his own and is talking to guests on the field now..Matt Schneidman

Watson was rubbing his left hip. Seems to be something on his left leg that’s banged up. He seems to be OK as practice ends.I can't run no more

“I’m glad Jordan took a shot on that one,” Watson said. “I tried to go up and get it. I think we just came down a little awkward. I don’t know if it was his knee or his cleat, but something just kinda hit me in the knee. I think it hurt a lot worse in the moment than I thought. I’m just thankful and obviously was praying that it wasn’t too serious, and it wasn’t.
“It’s a little sore, but it’s just a bruise, so nothing that’s going to stop me from doing anything … right now, it’s died down a lot, so if we had a practice right now, then I think I would be good to go.”I can't run no more

Don't think he's missed a practice yet this year. Hope springs eternal. Drinking the Watson Kool-Aid.Originally posted by red View Postsoccer players are only hurt until the other guy gets a card, then they are healthy and keep playing

He's fine. It's just a bruise apparently.
I went to a couple of days of training camp last week. Quick one liners on some players that stood out:
I think Emanuel Wilson is an NFL RB--whether he's on the Packers roster or not. I don't think Dillon looks appreciably different than he has the last couple of years.
Don't sleep on Romeo Doubs. He looks fantastic.
My sleeper from last year, Grant Dubose, looked good. He doesn't get a lot of separation, but he has a bit of James Jones to him. I wouldn't be surprised if he beats out Heath and Toure.
Julian Hicks is an undrafted guy that stood out to me. The WR room obviously looks great.
Tyler Davis looks fully healthy. He looked more athletic than I remember him.
Luke Musgrave looks similar to last year. He didn't seem to bulk up at all, and he still plays soft. His speed is an asset though. I was hoping for more.
Jordan Morgan looks the part. I'm excited to see what he can do.
T.J Slaton is in great shape--slimmer and a bit more athletic than past years.
Quay Walker is a bit more bulked up. I'm expecting a big year from him.
Eric Stokes looks really good. Here's hoping he stays healthy.
I was probably most impressed with Evan Williams--relative to their draft position. He's a smooth athlete. He seems intelligent, and he was super nice to my daughter while she was getting an autograph. I get Micah Hyde vibes from him. It looks like we may have gotten two good safeties in this draft."There's a lot of interest in the draft. It's great. But quite frankly, most of the people that are commenting on it don't know anything about what they are talking about."--Ted Thompson

who the hell is sleeping on romeo? they showed him run one route on family night, where he did a double move, and did it at full speed without slowing at all. looked so smooth and fast
i'm having deja vu when it comes to dillion. i feel like last year we heard the exact same things about him, "he's bigger, best shape ever, less fat, yadda yadda". didn't help last year, i have my doubts for this year
i keep hearing more and more good things about evan williams. looks to be a huge steal

Nice report Harvey. Sounds like a great time. I do have to say it is interesting you bring up now he treated your family. I remember you came at me pretty hard when I said about what a piece of shit erin rodgers was to my son. That’s cool that he appreciates the fans. Reminds me of James Jones and how he saved that day for me and a lot of other fans.

Lots of people. I hear all of the time that he has the least upside among our top WRs and that Reed or Wicks will have a better year. He's not a true #1 yet (very few are), but I think he'll be the Packers #1.Originally posted by red View Postwho the hell is sleeping on romeo?"There's a lot of interest in the draft. It's great. He's a bit slimmer, but it didn't really seem to help his explosiveness to me. I like A.J., so I hope he does well, but I think he is what he is at this point.Originally posted by smuggler View PostHe doesn't look any bigger this season. He looks trimmer. Hopefully he can keep his balance a bit better. That might make a world of difference for him."There's a lot of interest in the draft. It's great.
