Fred Biletnikof and Lester Hayes of the Raiders were two of the worst, covering their hands and arms with it. The stuff was so sticky that one time a player, I think it was Hayes, tried to underhand a ball to the ref, and it just stuck to his hand. It was hilarious!
    Hayes we older fans all remember for his stickum usage - the equivalent of that guy you know is coming into the room because the smell of his layers of cheap cologne waft in about five minutes before he does.

    But I didn’t know about Biletnikof. Does that bring up any parallels to whether old-times famous spitballers in MLB should be allowed in the Hall of Fame?

      Reminds me of one of my favorite scenes. "You put....snot....on the baseball?" "I ain't got an arm like you kid. Someday you will too"
