    Huh?

the Green Bay Packers aren't ruling out quarterback Jordan Love from playing in Week 2. Initially, it was believed that Love would miss multiple weeks with an MCL sprain. However, head coach Matt LaFleur stated on Monday that they will give Love every opportunity to suit up for the Packers' Week 2 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts. If Love is not cleared to play, then Malik Willis will be the starting quarterback.

"If Jordan is not cleared, then we'll start Malik, and Sean (Clifford) will be the backup," LaFleur said Monday.

LaFleur would not put a percentage on the likelihood of Love playing but said that he is doing "everything in his power" to get back as soon as possible. LaFleur said they would be cautious with Love and obviously wouldn't put him in a position where he couldn't protect himself. Green Bay's head coach also confirmed that Love is not going on injured reserve.
LaFleur indicated that they received relatively good news regarding Love's injury after returning from Brazil. Based on his comments, it sounds like the franchise quarterback is week-to-week.

      interesting

so maybe a bit closer to that grade 1 sprain then the grade 2

maybe they mentioned grade 2 to help him save face after acting like his leg was ripped off while he was on the ground

Never underestimate the power of Love.

To paraphrase my beLoved Coldplay (and the Lovely Selena Gomez), when we called the mathematicians and asked them to explain, they said J-Love’s only equal to the pain.

Take a pain killer and play, J-Love!

I took LeFleur's statement as just a bit of gamesmanship.

          We'll see.

Or next week. Or next month. Or next year. Or in one’s lifetime.

Some of us - like a certain wretched burger flipper - just ain’t meant for love.

I totally agree with Fritz. Jacobs is way overrated and not near the back Jones is. But as they like to do, the "experts" got rid of the better player.

Jones has more game changing ability, but not as much game availability.

Lets revisit this conversation in December. I could be wrong, but history is on the side of the younger player. Jones has special vision, no doubt. But end of the day he is old by RB standards and Jacobs has a rushing title under his belt. Jones does not.

I read that Favre didn't miss any time after an MCL injury. Apparently Jake Ferguson had a similar injury last Sunday, and there's a strong chance he will play next week.

There was a bullshit article by a media puke sorta criticizing Lafleur for considering playing Love. I'm thinking it's better than 50/50 he plays this week.
What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?

Packers had bye week after his MCL, so he had 2 weeks to recover.

That’s when he had the brace right? Lavar got him on MNF no?

Doesn’t take anything away from the fact that Favor was tough as nails and dumb as a rock.

That redneck gunslinger couldn’t tell blue skies from pain, a green field from a cold steel reel, a smile from a veil.

With Love injured, oh, how I wish Butte was still here.

Meh. Butte now has the mobility of Joe Flacco.
