  • Hafley is from Jersey. Interviewed for the Jets HC job last year. Giants will get a close look at him next week.

I'd take his as an OC to develop Jordan Love.

Then move Adam back to our OL coach where he belongs

TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

      • I wasn't thinking one way or the other about Daboll, but demoting Stenavich to O Line coach and bringing a real OC who would be more creative as a play caller than LaFleur, that would be a good idea.
What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?

          This absolutely needs to happen!

But it won't happen. No head coach is going to demote a coordinator to position coach. If MLF feels the need to overhaul the offensive coaching staff, the likelihood is that both Stenavich and Butkus will be fired.

            • The most the Packers would do is hire Daboll as an offensive consultant. Kind of like they did with Robert Saleh.
But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

I dunno about this. This kind of thinking gets you to promote Ben McAdoo.

Like he developed Daniel Jones, who is ripping it up for the Colts after failing with the Giants?

                  • I don't think LeFleur can hire his way out of this mess.

He's got to take a look in the mirror, and not to admire his tight beard and hair.

The Packers have committed to these huge offensive linemen and running a gap scheme - weird how that morphed, but it did, and Justis Mosqueda has a good article on that at ACME - and his offensive line is not playing well. So: how to get them to play better, AND how to scheme so that you can make up for that shortfall.

I don't think getting them to "play better" is much of an option at this point in the season. The players are what they are for this season, anyway. Midway through a season, good coaching staffs understand what the players available do well, and what they do not do well. Game plans need to be designed around what they do well, avoiding the things they do not do well.

Getting them to be better at things they are not good at, other than maybe a few "tweaks" will probably have to wait for the next off-season and preseason.

That video is brutal. Has Banks just blowing a zone block sliding to his left (its left outside zone run I think).

But he misses it so badly that I think he was expecting either help from Jenkins on a double team (not typical for an outside zone) or that his job was to climb to the second level.

He had the position, but he's in such a hurry to get either outside or up a level he doesn't secure it and the DT beats him easily inside. Jacobs is NOT pressing to his tackle (but its so fast hard to say he wouldn't have), so he's easily targeted by an inside player not going with the flow of a play. Something is horrendously wrong on this play. Either Banks is blocking wrong, or Jenkins is, or the play isn't constructed well.

Morgan has the toughest block, he's reaching for a 1 technique who is to the playside of him. He needs to cover a lot of ground and does, he just doesn't really get that guy stopped, though he does stick to him.

Jenkins himself waves a hand to that DT and goes to the playside inside backer. Who is now getting double teamed by Jenkins and Walker. Which is kind of ridiculous itself.

The outside linebacker is getting cracked by a WR, Musgrave has the DE.

The upshot of all of this is that the Packers should be killing this light box but don't.

                          • Wow! This borders on the unbelievable:

... running back Josh Jacobs has 608 rushing yards this season, but only 99 of those yards are before contact, according to NFL Pro, the league’s own player-tracking platform. On average, Jacobs is averaging 0.6 yards before contact per carry. 15 quarterbacks, including Green Bay’s Jordan Love, have more yards before contact than Jacobs this season. Backup Arizona Cardinals running back Emari Demercado, who has just 26 carries on the year, has more yards before contact (107) than Jacobs in 2025.

4th play in the video (a pass) sure looks like Jenkins got lost in his protection call and didn't adjust after the snap. Where was Banks supposed to go?
