The offense looked pretty good with Willis.

I commented on this during both games. The Packers running game was different when Willis was in. Different personnel, different running plays.Originally posted by sharpe1027 View PostThe offense looked pretty good with Willis.
I said I can’t wait to see Love as QB running this way. Love comes back and we go back to the “old” running game.
Not sure, but I think we had an extra TE or RB in rather than WR when Willis was QB.But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

Far too many penalties. Some are their fault (false starts) and some are on others (poor RPO decisions) but this group too often puts us way behind the chains. They have killed numerous drives this season with some really stupid penalties.Originally posted by Joemailman View PostPackers are 5th in the NFL in rushing and have given up the least amount of sacks. I guess I didn't mean coined as much as he was the father of it. I knew the origins though. I haven't been communicating very well lately as has been pointed out to me. I'm working on it.Originally posted by QBME View PostI can tell you most assuredly that Patler did not in anyway coin the term “Patlerized”. It has it’s origins back in the JSO days and even had a bright red, all caps diagonal stamp that was delivered to deserving posters. I can’t remember who came up with it and issued the rebukes -KY Pack might recall it - but it sure wasn’t Patler, he’s got too much class for it.

I understood. I was messing with you. As I said, I haven't been conveying my meaning very well lately.Originally posted by Patler View PostWell that sure didn't come across as intended! Even editing to reference my correction, changing "Lacy" to: "that running back they signed to replace whatshisname" didn't help!

Not as far from league averages as I would have thought. Looking at the game by game, defense and ST are OK, clear issues with offense, but seem to be getting better.Originally posted by Fosco33 View Post

Right? Is it because of what Willis brings to the table or because the coaching staff approached the game plan differently? Probably some of both, but I think it's more about the coaching decisions.Originally posted by ThunderDan View PostI commented on this during both games. I agree. Willis doesn’t have the time in the offense and brings a different skill set. It would be stupid to have the same game plan with both QBs.Originally posted by sharpe1027 View PostRight? But some of the running plays were excellent when Willis was in. The other team knew we were running and we still pushed it down their throat. But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

If they had more red zone success, you probably would not feel that way.Originally posted by call_me_ishmael View PostAlright fair points about the offensive line. Maybe I am wrong. I wonder why the offense seems so much more a struggle compared to late last year. Soemthing just seems off to me.

Better red zone and Love not turning the ball over every game would make the offense close to Det.But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

Packers were 3/5 in the red zone last week against the NFL's #1 red zone defense, so they may be turning it around. This is the time of year things turned last year.Originally posted by ThunderDan View PostBingo!!

Last year they were a young team getting to know each other. I don’t think that excuse applies this season.Originally posted by Joemailman View PostPackers were 3/5 in the red zone last week against the NFL's #1 red zone defense, so they may be turning it around.
