Not only that, but if you establish the threat that he might run, then you force linebackers and safeties on extended plays into some tough decisions.

It sure seemed like almost all the pressure on Love came from the outside - over Tom and Walker, little or none up the middle where Myers and the Guards were. And virtually all the running success was up the middle - where Meyers and the Guards were, very little success outside/off tackle.
What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?

I think the receivers were a bigger problem, along with the pressure Flores was throwing at Love in the 1st half. Reed had a big drop, the receivers didn't like getting bullied in man coverage, and were pushed off their routes. This is a young team, and young receivers often struggle against press and man coverages.

When Love can get the ball out fast or without pressure in his face he's pretty darn good. I have some quibbles with his ball placement and footwork but I think he's a top 10 QB. Sometimes even Rodgers had stinker games.

MLF didn't have enough man-beaters in his game plan, that was an oversight on his part and with Getsy/Saleh around they should have been doing better self-scouting as well as seeing what Flores was doing lately. Teams have started to play more man coverage on GB, you can bet CHI and PHI are paying attention.

This was a tough one, combined with ATL crapping the bed against WAS. They have the 7 seed and might not get out of it.

GB also just hurt themselves repeatedly: penalties, drops, an early fumble... they had a slow start to the game that made them look inept. I think this is who they are this year - talented but sloppy. I still think if they can stop beating themselves they could be a serious threat.
