Rams are keeping Matt Stafford. Not great news for Aaron Rodgers. This was probably Rodgers' #1 choice. Might be where Davante ends up.

Chiefs put franchise tag on G Trey Smith. 23.4 million.

NFL announces franchise and transition tag numbers.

Quarterback: $40.242 million (franchise); $35.377 million (transition).
Running back: $13.64 million (franchise); $11.067 million (transition).
Wide receiver: $23.959 million (franchise); $21.441 million (transition).
Tight end: $13.826 million (franchise); $11.712 million (transition).
Offensive line: $23.402 million (franchise); $21.271 million (transition).
Defensive end: $22.062 million (franchise); $19.872 million (transition).
Defensive tackle: $25.123 million (franchise); $20.849 million (transition).
Linebacker: $25.452 million (franchise); $20.862 million (transition).
Cornerback: $20.187 million (franchise); $17.595 million (transition).
Safety: $18.601 million (franchise); $15.027 million (transition).
    Kicker/Punter: $6.313 million (franchise); $5.73 million (transition).

The 49ers are trading Deebo Samuel to the Commanders for draft considerations. Reportedly a 5th round pick.

Not a great FA group this year, if I'm Gute I focus on locking up Tom and McAnus to extensions and waiting until 2nd week of free agency to shop. The first week there will be some very bad contracts done with the salary cap going up more. GMs will be signing players to bad overpays they'll want to get out of in 2 years.

I don't know how much tread Deebo has on the tires, SF fans thought he was washed last year. Gives SF more room to sign Purdy.
Speaking of the Niners, rumor is Aiyuk is available in trade market, but he's got a weird contract structure I think they want to get out of.

I love Deebo, from 2 years ago. Seems like he isn't exactly all in at times. He can be super competitive and then he disappears, probably because he is banged up and is on the sidelines. Maybe he will get reinvigorated in Washington. He wants to be a tough guy, but tough guys are like Sterling Sharpe who would play regardless of injury.

Yeah Deebo was kind of a unicorn for a while. Great player when he was younger and less banged up, but he's 29 going on 30 now and those injuries add up. If they use him like they did Zaccheus he'll be an upgrade there as a YAC/Gadget guy with a specific # of snaps, but as an outside WR playing 70% of snaps I am skeptical that he'll hold up.

Deebo Samuel injury history and detailed analysis. Stay informed on his health trends and how they impact his fantasy football value.

Oh, man, wouldn't that be great? I would LOVE to see that.

No it wouldn't. I expect Rodgers to still be damn good and probably motivated to play against the Packers.

I'm thinking he goes to the Raiders.

Jets have officially released Davante Adams. Maybe Gute will sign him just to piss Rodgers off.
