Matt LaFleur said Omar Brown will stay in Indy overnight after sustaining chest contusion. When asked if RB MarShwan Lloyd was OK after leaving game in early second quarter with possible injury, LaFleur said, “We’ll see.”I can't run no more

Lloyd just doesn't have the durability for the NFL.Originally posted by Joemailman View PostPete Dougherty

Can't blame Lloyd on that one. That looks like a helmet to helmet hit that didn't get called. And that defender was flying. Wouldn't be surprised if Lafleur's "We'll see" comment was due to Lloyd being in concussion protocol.Originally posted by MadScientist View PostLloyd just doesn't have the durability for the NFL.I can't run no more

I won't "blame" Lloyd, but there is a reason I didn't like taking a RB in the 3rd. Its just that the OL and system plays such a big role in success. There are so many RBs out there who can succeed in a good system. Personally I have gone from thinking Brooks would beat out Wilson to thinking that Johnson might end up being the #2. And lets see if Lloyd can get healthy enough to contribute in year 2.
Don't get me wrong, some guys are just special, but those guys virtually never last beyond the top of the 2nd round. If you aren't targeting one of them then you best not waste draft capital on them. Just grab a 7th rounder or 2 and then take a few UDFA guys and let them compete. If your OL is in order they will all be successful, be it Tony Fischer or that guy who crapped in someone's laundry.
