I was thinking the same thing. Possible trades near the deadline (depending on the season so far) to get better picks and in the 2026 draft than they might get as comp picks in 2027 if they lose them next offseason. Walker, maybe even Doubs or Watson, Enagbare or Rhyan could be expendable and bring a pick in 2026 rather than waiting.

Several forecasters are predicting no comp picks for GB in 2026.

To my understanding comp picks are awarded if you lose guys to FA while not signing any. We are going to lose several players and I'm not sure we can afford to sign anyone. But I'm not expert on this stuff. 49ersget 3rd round picks for losing an OC to a HC gig. System is anything but clear.

In the case of Patler's post, the guy was about 90% wrongheaded. (I looked for it, and it isn't even in this thread). Of course, a clique of the usual suspects - ballsless anti-homers in some cases, maybe not all - acted like little toadies and chimed in ......... but of course, they have a perfect right to do that - just like in a God damned bar. I sure wouldn't want to discourage them.

I don't think you want to see "a ton of good, serious, competent posting" unless, of course, by that you mean posting that agrees with you. You belittle and insult the vast majority of opinions that are contrary to yours and the individuals who write them.

Your last paragraph says a lot about you and your attitude toward individuals and opinions you do not agree with. That is what you attempt to do with your posts here, punch out those you disagree with.
