So if teams are still given three points just for being the home team, that would mean the Lions are actually more-or-less favored . . .Originally posted by Joemailman View PostPackers now -2.5
Look out for Aidan Hutchinson. It'll be interesting to see if Zach Tom/Rasheed Walker/either guard can block him. Probably we'll see Kraft and Musgrave on the field together a lot, so they can chip on Hutchinson."The Devine era is actually worse than you remember if you go back and look at it."

Yawp. They're gonna' inside run all day.Originally posted by bobblehead View PostSadly I'll be drafting Gibbs in all my auctions at whatever cost. See my post in "big losers" thread. Gibbs is young and a beast with a beastly OL. Our run D is now suspect at best.
How's their new center?

Parsons won't play a lot in this game. Too risky with him having had no training camp at all.
Slatton and Clark are gone.
The inside DL will be manned by players not well-suited as run stoppers and those with no experience.
For the season, an improved pass rush is of minimal benefit when the opposing team views every down as a running down. We have seen the results of that before. Stackhouse will have to mature quickly and/or others will have to show more than they have as run stoppers.

Gibbs is more of an outside guy, I think - a speed, shifty guy. I don't know how he'll do running inside. But David Montgomery might tear up that inside dynamic duo of Colby Wooden and Devonte Wyatt..."The Devine era is actually worse than you remember if you go back and look at it."

From what I've read he is the weak point on that line (as much as I can get from reading). At least we have that going for us. But even worse, if I'm campbell I run right at Micah for about 15 straight plays to wear him down. You know, like Holmgren SHOULD have done at that undersized Philly edge who was eating John Michels lunch. But all our Mikes until this one LOVED to abandon the run....well, APBs man crush was pretty good about sticking with it too.Originally posted by George Cumby View PostYawp. I don't distinguish podcasters from other kinds of media pukes hahahaha, and I didn't say I agreed with him - just FWIW. He didn't claim he had a report, just that he believed that no orthopedic doctor would let a guy practice with a Jones fracture, and according to the team, I guess, Reed is out there practicing.Originally posted by MadScientist View PostHe's a podcaster, mixing reports and his opinions. Saying he believes something isn't an actual report. Teams are good at being vague about an injury, but I haven't heard of a team giving specific injury descriptions that are false.
That's an excellent diagram above. As I look at it, I believe (and mind you, I'm not even a damn podcaster, much less a damn media puke or a medical doctor - I haven't even slept at Holiday Inn recently) such a fracture could still be padded and protected with some kind of device so that it would be immobile even with the rigors of an NFL game. What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?

As for run D as well as the reason Kenny Clark was expendable (in addition to his contract situation), I think they like what they see from Stackhouse and Brinson. I expect a four man rotation for two interior spots, those two plus Wade and Wooden. I don't expect much true Nose tackle use. I'd also expect a lot of Karl Brooks at DE in run situations. What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?
