With Golden here I don't think he will be for long. I just think he can make more money somewhere else.

Yeah, you’re right. He is clutch and teams will always pay for that. He has been my guy and wish he could win it all with Love. 10 trust him more than any other WR when he really needs it. Gonna suck when his marshmallow helmet is a different team.

Fuck it, they can just win it all this season!!

I like Romeo, I just think he's gone to another team next year with a big contract. I think Wicks can replace a lot of what Doubs does, and Golden can probably do what Wicks can't.
Watson has a skill set that Romeo doesn't have, and is ostensibly harder to find - big very fast good blocker who will scare some defenses, they have to respect his deep speed and that helps the spacing of MLF's passing attack.

I don't think trading any of them will happen; with Watson out another month (probably) and Reed now out until... Thanksgiving?... they are thinner. Sure, they can elevate Mecole but they are likely going to have to lean on Doubs, Wicks, Golden and Savion. Getting anything from Malik Heath is gravy. He's a fiery competitor and good blocker, but dude has brain farts and will run the wrong route sometimes. My guess is what we saw last night vs. WAS: more 12 personnel, a lot more of Kraft, Musgrave and Fitz.

As much as they need to get the run game going, I hope the injuries at receiver don't make MLF decide to go super run-heavy like he was last year.

Well I think we’re stuck w/ Doubs as Reed is out for 2mo. I was kinda hoping we’d find a way to trade for some value.

All of them are talented but seemingly made of glass. Idk

There’s always the draft to replace a WR.

It's such a physically demanding position, the slightest injury can make a guy infective unless he's Calvin Johnson. Probably a silver lining for Reed since he had that foot injury that could've used more rest. Who knows?

Yep. He WILL win it all with Love. I'll believe that until proven otherwise.

Love looks great when he has time (not 5 seconds or anything, just 3 seconds before the pressure arrives). Defense looks championship. ST blows, but can improve I hope.

I'm not writing off a Doubs extension for sure. I mean, Watson signed the prove it deal, what if Doubs decides he's comfortable. I believe he has some depression issues and big changes aren't necessarily in his best interest. Maybe we offer 3/35 which will really be 2/20 and he takes the sure thing. I can't rule out that he is back next year.

I wouldn't rule it out either, but I looking at the Tutu Atwell, Khalil Shakir, and Jameson Williams contracts you can guess what Watson & Doubs are targeting.

Doubs probably wants Shakir money (3/45)
Watson getting half what Williams got and a bit more than Atwell feels like a good deal given the respective production of each.

Paying Parsons franchise quarterback money (which paying your QB franchise quarterback money) puts a cramp on your cap space, especially if you have a number of potential replacements behind Doubs. (Golden, Savion, 2026 draft pick)
My thinking is Doubs will get a contract GB can't/won't match.
