Love ties Favre with 20 straight completions. Something Rodgers never did, but at least he got to watch it.

Steelers had an extra Oline in at TE and got wide on the defense several times. Why it took until after the half to counter this I don't know (Collingsworth said they dropped a safety to that side of the box).

LaFleur and the offense seemed stuck in neutral after the opening drive. After half they seemed to have a better plan.

I'd love to know why they start slowly like this. Its happened before. The drops did not help.

I would celebrate Love climbing to the upper echelon, but that alley oop to Kraft was dangerous, the toss to Watson only a little less so. Only Watson was in a good position to catch his. Krafts defender would have had a 50/50 shot if he saw it. A real late stage Favre throw. If these aren't turned into mistakes, the kid is unstoppable. The decisions still worry me. I DO think Love made a concerted effort not to force it more often and the checkdowns worked and looked good. He drifted backward into that dual hit by Watt and the other DE in the first half. He still wanders too much in the pocket off his spot.

I will say this. It is the third game where in the second half he had at least one drive where he seemed to work his will on a defense. That is new.

Tom got stepped on but came back. Walker looked like his arm or shoulder got banged up late. Only good news there was that 70 (Kinnard) and Belton (71) were healthy and able to step in. Watson looked healthy.

Pass pro was still shaky at times but largely held up. Jacobs is not a great blocker at RB for blitzes. Rhyan was back in getting reps at RG.

Penalties on D and ST are just dumb at this point though I do forgive Nixon his first for D holding, he barely got a glove on that jersey.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Looked like the offense from 2 years ago when it was humming after Thanksgiving. That pass rush was relentless too.

We beat the GOAT. This was not a worn out decrepit Rodgers, he was still damn good. And the Steelers have a lot of supposedly top tier talent all around. Just the same, the Packers, after a lousy first half took care of business, as they damn well should.

As has been said, this was probably Love's best game, and he did it with pass rush in his face all game as well as those big name DBs the Steelers have.

There are a lot of good tight ends in the league these days, but I really don't think any of them are as good all around as Kraft. Is anybody else in here old enough to remember John Mackey of the Baltimore Colts back in the Lombardi Era? Kraft runs wild/hard to bring down like Mackey back in the day, and I don't recall Mackey ever being that fast. I don't recall any true TE/big and tough TE that had the speed and running power of Kraft.

As good as Parsons is, it takes teamwork, at least two pass rushers beating their blocks to keep a mobile QB - which Rodgers still is sometimes anyway, from escaping.

I still want to see Watson and Golden both going deep and Love getting it to one of them. This game was great, but I still am wanting that. If Love gets better blocking, it might happen.

Most of the time, I want to see the opponent/enemy just stomped/humiliated/ground into the turf. In this game, though, I have to say, I was pleased to see Rodgers not suck. I still think he's the GOAT - As good or better than Brady and better than anybody else - ever. He wasn't good enough to beat the Packers - THANKFULLY, but he showed that he still can play. I still want to see him play at a high level to the age Brady did and get recognition as the GOAT - OUR GOAT.
What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?

Agreed with the lob passes. Coulda been picked off. Lovemaker also missed a wide open Golden in the red zone for what would’ve been his 4 td throw - gamblers are pissed.

I do not like the corners on this team. I coulda played better than Nixon in this game - and, alas, I am in my 40’s. Trade for J-Alex!

Trailing by 9 points going into the 2nd half we completely woke up and outscored the Steelers 28-9.

Nate Hobbs played 4 defensive snaps last night. Carrington Valentine played 62. Hobbs was a full participant in practice on Thursday and Friday.

Nate Hobbs is looking like a one-and-done candidate.

The Packers pass rush was relentless last night. Maybe it's just that the Steelers OL stinks. IDK. But either way, Rodgers was under siege the whole second half.

Great results, but throwing off one’s back foot into double coverage is negative EV (expected value).

That throw to Watson was just awful. Late in the play, across his body to the middle of the field. I liked the result, but he has to eliminate that from the tool box.

In the second half, with the exception of the two tosses he got away with, Love imposed his will on Pittsburgh's defense. It was reminiscent of peak Butte.

On the throw to Watson, Steelers were penalized for defensive holding. Did Love know he had a free play? More likely he had confidence his 2 biggest receivers could win a battle for the ball. Or at least prevent the INT.
