Is this not the classic game where the Packers hew to tradition and play down to the level of their opponents?

I am really hoping for the offensive line to start to open up some holes for the running game. Also looking to see how Devonte Wyatt plays this week. He seems a real key to this defense.

This is a classic trap game, coming after a big win over Steelers, and a week before a big game with Eagles.

I'm going to say they got their wake up call in Cleveland and they've learned to not let up.

This should be an easy game, but easy hasn't been easy this year. 5-1-1 even though our O Line still can't block and our Corners still can't stop the pass. We haven't even consistently been able to stop the run.

Over the next four, we go Easy Hard Easy Hard. I could see the Packers winning all of those, but I could see them stumbling and bumbling and making it too close also. But the good outweighs the bad by so much that we should win. Optimist that I am, I think this week will be a little more satisfying than all but the Lions game.
What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?

IDK where else to post this, so I'll vomit it here.

I just listened to Jim and Pat interview Bullard on Moving the Chains. Color me impressed. Kid is smart, articulate and thoughtful. It really sounds like he loves football. He and the hosts were cracking one another up about "Bloody Tuesdays" at the University of Georgia practices.

You know when Jim and Pat like who they're interviewing, they like this kid.

Who knows if this means anything, but he might have a higher ceiling than us casual fans give him credit for.

Big spread in this one. I think GB wins but boy I wouldn't bet on an 11.5 point game in the NFL

I'd agree. This might be one of those really ugly games, where it's 16 - 13 and the defense has to bail out the offense, or it's 41 - 38 and the offense has to bail out the defense.

And the special teams will be its usual keystone kops routine.

The Packers haven’t done a full-blown beat down on anyone this season - this feels like the game to me. We’re in front of our fans Sunday with a juicy 5-1-1 record.

Packers have signed CB Tyler Herring to practice squad. Herring was with the team in training camp.

Herring’s biggest moment in preseason action with the Packers was probably stopping Indianapolis Colts tight end Jelani Woods short of the goal line.

After Herring failed to make the 53-man roster at the cutdown deadline, he worked out with the New England Patriots, who eventually signed him to their practice squad. Herring actually replaced Corey Ballentine, who had previously started seven games for the Packers and was in Green Bay for part of training camp.

Herring was released from the Patriots’ practice squad two weeks ago. Since then, he had a workout with the Cleveland Browns, but he wasn’t signed by the team.

With Herring added, the Packers’ practice squad is now back at capacity, like their 53-man roster.

Jayden Reed back running at practice.

According to ESPN’s Rob Demovsky, Reed was seen running during the Packers’ Wednesday practice and was catching footballs with a helmet on. The team will not need to open his 21-day practice window, a transition move between the injured reserve and the active roster, until he’s actually participating in on-field work with his teammates. With that being said, it appears that his rehab is progressing well.

Whenever Reed does return to the team, it could mean even more displacement for rookie first-round pick Matthew Golden. Last week, Christian Watson bumped Golden on the depth chart at outside receiver, despite Dontayvion Wicks being inactive due to a calf injury. Right now, Golden’s role is as a slot receiver, the same position that Reed has held down for the last two seasons. Don’t be surprised if Golden ends up being the Packers’ WR4 when the unit is finally all healthy at the same time.

Why would you put a helmet on a football?
