I hate to say this, but I'm starting to think the Packers are a little overrated - I mean even before the injuries. Our DBs are too bad to cover anybody consistently, and our pass rush is like "warning track" quality - they hardly ever get there for a home run play. And our D Line, while effective much of the time, just doesn't seem to have enough strength to stop the run when it's an obvious run situation. The best thing our D Line has going is our offense getting a lead and/or controlling the ball.
And then there's our O Line. I've been saying that Love gets pressured virtually all the time. It's only his mobility that makes our O Line seem adequate. And Jacobs' shiftiness, jump cutting, and tackle breaking overcomes the line's inability to open holes. Most of our opponents have had O Lines that stood out as a lot better than ours.
Why then do we have such a good record? Quality of our skill players, that's why. The Packers are good but defective at two key position groups: DB and O Line. What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?

You piece of shit pretend Packer fan. How the hell do you even start criticizing this team and call yourself a Packer fan. You really are a Cowboy fan who pretends to be a Packer fan. Why don't you go away? /sarcasmOriginally posted by texaspackerbacker View PostI hate to say this, but I'm starting to think the Packers are a little overrated - I mean even before the injuries. Fuck, you are special. After all the shit you have given people for criticizing the Packers and acting like a pompous ass you think it is OK to make this post? TPB from a couple of years ago would have written a 3 paragraph response saying why you are such a horrible person who doesn't deserve to live.
On the flip side, nice of you to see flaws in a team you root for. It's only taken 17 years for you to turn into the person you say you hate on here.
Merry Christmas Everyone! But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

hahahaha I'm all about truth. Anybody I ever called a piece of shit deserved to be called a piece of shit. I don't think I've changed anything over the years. I criticized a lot of things about the Packers - including but certainly not limited to that old "sacred cow" who was so overrated at Left Tackle. I've been consistent about minimizing the importance of the O Line in general - saying the great success of our QBing for nearly three decades has been in spite of lousy O Line blocking. I've been as much against at least two D Coordinators as anybody. etc. etc. etc.Originally posted by ThunderDan View PostYou piece of shit pretend Packer fan. No but I do still insist that Love is freaked by O-line problems, especially when Tom takes a powder. When did Tom go out? Would be interesting to compare Love before and after that.Originally posted by pbmax View PostWas busy with family all weekend and only caught part of the game, but did anyone else think Love got concussed when tackled out of bounds on a scramble very early in the game? The top of his head got shoved into the turf and he was literally shaking his head as he returned to the huddle.
Possible he had grass/dirt/rubber pellets in the facemask but my first reaction was he go his bell rung and was clearing up cobwebs.

So Tom goes out after the TD gives them 13. Looks like a decent drive for the FG to get to 16, TD drive in 3rd is dominated by 20+ yard PI on Golden and Jacobs long 40 yard run for TD - and then the passing game goes in the shitter after that (of course, Watson got hurt too, but it is what it is).Originally posted by Joemailman View Post2nd quarter. Your incessant criticism of David Bahktiari is one of the major reasons why I have very little respect for your opinions on the Packers and Pro Football in general. Your major point in your opinion on Bahk seems to be that runs to the left side didn't succeed. Wide runs can fail for more reasons than one player. You don't have a good grasp of OLine play. I got three concepts for you to learn; 1. Engage (with leverage) 2. Sustain 3 FinishOriginally posted by texaspackerbacker View Posthahahaha I'm all about truth. I know it's a little late in the game for you, but you need to get a little knowlege of the basics.

I think the point is entirely valid however, you need to substitute the subject of the sentence in the earlier post. Not "Love" but "quarterbacks".Originally posted by RandsRevenge View PostSo Tom goes out after the TD gives them 13. QBs can work with one or two weak points. 3 places of unpredictability AND the loss of Watson is a bad hand.
It would be one thing to lose Doubs or Reed, but I'd bet the game plan was very much based on Watson and either his route or adjustments to his route by the D.Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Yeah, I used to think of you as a somewhat competent poster too ...... nowadays, not so much.Originally posted by KYPack View PostYour incessant criticism of David Bahktiari is one of the major reasons why I have very little respect for your opinions on the Packers and Pro Football in general. I say again, the sacred cow - Bakhtiari - was vastly overrated. The abundance of pass rush over his spot as well as the extremely little outside running success over his spot says it all. Yes, outside runs can fail for varied reasons failure sealing , failure pulling, etc. and of course sometimes it coulda been others contributing besides Bakhtiari, but the fact that it happened so damn often - virtually never running successfully outside on his side, that certainbly indicates that he was at best a mediocre O Lineman. "1. Engage (with leverage) 2. Sustain 3 Finish" - and you're saying Bakhtiari was a shining example in these areas? I would certainly dispute that.
Yeah, it's late in the game for me hahahaha. I haven't played O Line for about 61 years. How about you? What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?

Gee Whiz Tex, Bahk was All Pro 5 times. Twice first team 3 times 2nd team.Originally posted by texaspackerbacker View PostYeah, I used to think of you as a somewhat competent poster too ...... nowadays, not so much.

End of Bahk’s career wasn’t pretty. I thought the extension really hurt. The measure of who we are is what we do with what we have.
