Indeed, the Packers certainly could have won the game despite these events and injuries. They just did not, and cornerback Nate Hobbs believes it was because God ordained them to lose:

Brady gets a lot of things wrong. Hafley chose to blitz. I'm not gonna say that was a mistake, but the pass rushers didn't succeed in getting a sack or not very often forcing a throwaway. I hesitate to second guess Hafley, but they sure didn't have anybody helping poor pathetic Nixon on those two crucial TD passes as well as several other plays where our Corners failed.

The Packers were getting pretty good pressure on Williams with that "cage rush" as the commentators called it. They still didn't have the ability to cover, though.

Do you just imagine the world as your argument wishes it to be? Packers blitzed at a higher rate all game compared to the rest of the season, or did you miss that graphic too? It was over 40% for the game. Worked fine until the last two drives.

Favre woulda got right back in the game, maybe Rodgers too. Steve Young, Aikman, a lot of other QBs have done that. I'm certainly NOT blaming Love, but seeing him walk off the field, I'm confident he coulda and woulda played on. However, it was the stupid hyper-safety crap that gets pushed these days that prevented it. I can't say that safety stupidity cost the Packers the game because Willis came through so well, but who's to say Love wouldn't have done better.

Was he supposed to help Doubs with the recovery? The ST unit had executed the play perfectly until Doubs muffed the kick. Doubs is a possession WR. He's your punt returner. He's exactly the guy you want in that situation. He just blew it, as he's admitted.

If this was just a one-off thing, yeah, I'd agree with you. But there seems to be at least 1 costly ST's mistake every single game. It has now become a trend. And yeah, there's a problem with scheme when you have 2 Packers actually blocking 4-5 Bears at the point of the fumble.

I love how much they blitzed. They played aggressive as hell. You love to see it on big 3rd downs instead of the passive stuff. Rex Ryan or Madden Engage Eight style.

Not a fair comparison. Bostick blew his assignment, Doubs made a flub. Night and day as far as drawing my scorn. I feel for Doubs. Bostick was inexcusable.
