This loss, and so many lost leads, requites change in leadership. Over last 4 years, 37-30-1 in regular season, 1-3 in playoffs.

I have been in MiLFs camp this whole time. I still think he is an excellent coach. But that 2nd half was a complete collapse and we couldn’t come with anything to stop the Bears momentum. MiLF didn’t think of once to run a play action pass with 8 Bears in the box.

If we dump MiLF we could snag Harbaugh which I would be fine with.
But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

Green Bay would me a very attractive place for a head coach. We would have a lot of interest.

Fuck Harbaugh. Mike McCarthy would be a better fit for the current Packers than Harbaugh, I reckon.

I want Mike McDaniel. McDaniel could turn Lovemaker into a bona fide haymaker.

In the event that LaFleur would get fired, the Packer job would be the most attractive HC opening out there.

No problem. Let’s get Deion Sanders.

Until the second half, and its dumb to make a decision on one game, I was fully in his corner.

I am far less certain now.

I'm not in the emotions are lacking camp, they had a pre-kickoff near brawl that I think Walker helped initiate. And scored 21 points in the first half while holding them to 3. But the complete failure of the offense in the second half by a mediocre defense was embarrassing.

But it should be mentioned that in the first half you could see the D surrendering yards and drives again even as they had tightened up the run D and prevented touchdowns. It felt obvious the Bears were going to score more eventually. And that is after they had to adjust their protections to blunt the Packers pass rush which is a sentence we don't write much these days.

Even still, one more score, or successful kicks make this a win.

And a preemptory no on Harbaugh.

I had time to think about this loss. Packers are up 21-3 at halftime and totally dominating the game. After 3 quarters, the Packers lead 21-6. Our OL (Walker) decided not to play in the 2nd half and we had 4 straight punts in the 3rd quarter due to abysmal line play.

In the 4th quarter, the defense gave up 25 points. Think about that for a minute. We gave up 25 points in one quarter. In spite of that fact, we still SHOULD have won the game. Our offense responded with a TD drive and a FG drive, but our kicker missed an XP and missed the 44 yd FG.

Had one of those kicks been made, we were in position to kick a game-tying or game winning FG. We should have scored 13 points in the 4th quarter. I really don't blame LaFleur for this loss. I do pin the blame on individuals in which the moment was too big for them.

McManus, Walker, Valentine, the receivers with drops, the players on STs that couldn't cover a punt. We were in position, good position, to win this game. The coaches job is to put you in position to make plays. The players have to make plays. We didn't do it. The Bears did.

Justus Mosqueda (Acme Packers) has a theory, it makes a partial (as in semi-, not the poster) sense that the monetary differences between LaFleur signing and not have something to do with the assistant coach budget. As in the budget is too low and relies too heavily on internal promotions.

I buy the entirety of the argument historically, I think the Packers cheap out on assistant coach contracts routinely (see LaFleur's first ST choice leave town after getting low balled and signing elsewhere after agreeing in principle).

However, there is a problem. Like with the Capers hiring, when Ted was loading up, they have hired outside D coaches now including one former HC on that side of the ball (Hafley), Anthony Campanile (one of the best regarded LB coaches at the time - now a Coordinator) and Derrick Ansley (former coordinator for one year). There is Demarcus Covington, former NE DC. They also hired Biassacia.

So the story, while attractive doesn't add up unless you think the shortfall is just hurting the offense.

BTW, Mosqueda has heard one Packers offer was not even doubt his original salary ($5 mil for his first year). Which would put him behind first time coaches Johnson and the dude in Jacksonville Liam Cohen.

This is mostly where I am, plus I would add the O line protection shakiness turned up again when the Bears began to pressure the LOS which put Love on skates as the second half wore on. There was a year 1 player and a year 2 player on the right side in a playoff game who overall seemed to fare OK with one blown reaction to a stunt that I saw.

But the 3rd quarter offense swan dive was frankly astonishing with the reliance on the run game on first down.

Here is another. Wilson's running seemed to fall off a cliff late this year. Brooks was much more effective but they are still splitting time in this game.

He shouldn't have been allowed on the plane back. This is the most embarrassing loss in GB history.
