Looks like Packers would have had the 20th pick.

    Their picks: 52, 84, 120, 159, 200, 236, 254, 257.

    https://www.nflmockdraftdatabase.com/ has 14 CB's in top 100.

Time to invest in the CB position.

    @Jordan_Reid

This is a fantastic DB class. I have a huge cluster of 2nd and 3rd round grades at both safety and CB right now. The testing and on-field drills will be fun to watch at the Combine. Interested to see who separates from the group.

Its going to be interesting. They didn't need the Packers top flight personnel skill of finding man coverage corners in the Cover 3 they played with Hafley.

Gannon is playing quarters and again it doesn't demand man coverage. I wonder if they are moving away from drafting CBs like they were pass rushing DEs?
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Good to hear that it's a good year for Corners. Let's get a couple of them, 2nd and 3rd or 2nd and 4th.
What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?

They're gonna need to find a big NT - Domonique Orange

This has got to be the 2nd round pick. It’s a huge need. Maybe corners in rounds 3 and 4. Then offensive linemen, a tight end. Sorta like that.

Need a NT somewhere in rounds 2-4, unless they sign a FA.

I agree it's a huge need, but I'm not sure they have to use the 2nd rounder on a NT. They don't need the high profile, pass rushing interior lineman that go high in the draft. They just need a big ass dude that takes up blockers and the let the LBs fly to the ball. Should be able to find someone in 3-4 round range.

However, if Orange is there in the 2nd when the Pack picks, IMO, Packers gotta think real hard about taking him.

I don't think they get a NT in free agency. There's not many out there that fit what GB needs.

                        I can see that too.

But knowing Guter, he won't take a defensive lineman until like the fifth or sixth round.

But they really do need a NT. I'd like it if it was a guy that had some push-the-pocket ability, but that's a tough find even if you have a first round pick. Somebody with a little juice, you could say.

But yes, taking a corner in the second - and another in the third or fourth - would make sense to me. Although if you go by BPA, that need-based approach sounds less appealing. I see both sides of that debate. Sure, if you have a choice between a guy who's going to be an All Pro wide reciever and a NT who's going to be a JAG, you'd take the WR. But no one, at this stage, knows for sure that that will be how it'll pan out.

With our luck, they'll draft a RB or a Short TE to play HB.

If they play a 4-3 they might not be signing a true nose. But they need someone like Jarran Reed or Slayton back.

                              My prediction:

                              CB
                              CB
                              CB
                              DT
                              DT
                              CB
DT If we have a few other picks I'm not aware of Maybe a true center.

edit: Reality will be more like

                              Decathlete silver medalist
                              100M Gold medalist
                              High jump bronze
                              long jump gold

                              You get the picture.
