NFL reporter Jordan Schultz reported on Friday that the Green Bay Packers, along with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Seattle Seahawks, will bring in Arkansas running back Mike Washington Jr. on a pre-draft visit. At the moment, the Packers have some questions at the running back position, as MarShawn Lloyd has only been able to play one game in two years for the team and running back Chris Brooks isn’t much of a ball-carrier behind Josh Jacobs.

Washington is considered a 2-3 round pick.

We need somebody, don’t know if it is round 2-3.
I have zero confidence that Lloyd will produce over a whole season.

Hell, it's hard to be confident Lloyd can survive training camp.

Another #Packers top 30 draft visit coming: Louisiana LB Jaden Dugger. He's 6-4 1/2, 240 pounds. Posted a 4.5-second 40 at pro day and 34 1/2-inch vertical. Almost 35-inch arms. Earned first-team All-Sun Belt honors after recording 125 tackles and four sacks last season.

Dugger is a late round pick/undrafted free agent.

The Green Bay Packers will host Indiana running back Kaelon Black on an official pre-draft visit, per Gery Woelfel. The report was confirmed by Bill Huber of Packers on SI.

Black, a James Madison transfer who followed Curt Cignetti to Indiana, rushed 186 times for a career-high 1,034 yards (5.6 yards per carry) and 10 touchdowns for the national champion Hoosiers in 2025. He scored three total touchdowns in wins over Alabama and Oregon during the playoffs and then finished his collegiate career rushing for 79 yards in the title game win over Miami.

Over six collegiate seasons, Black rushed for 2,629 yards and 17 touchdowns and caught 53 passes for 488 yards and six more scores.

Black is a likely 5-6 round pick.

The Packers seem to be hosting a lot of possible linebackers in later rounds. They just brought in a guy from Central Michigan who played DE there but projects as on outside linebacker in a 3-4 defense.

And I think Marshawn Lloyd is definitely on notice: we ain't holding a spot for you no more, buddy. Stay on the field or you're off the team.

By all accounts he really did have that "Wow" factor - noticeably faster or quicker than anyone else on the field - but he can't stay on the field. Probably worth a swing on Gutey's part, but not that early in the draft, not with his hands issues.

ANother guy who so far has the talent but can't get on the field.
But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

I haven't studied anything this year and know very little about anyone not wearing Badger red. That said I'll judge the draft based on production vs. RAS score. If the first 2 players drafted are workout wonders who "underproduced" in college I won't be optimistic.

Seems like with the Packers lacking a 1st, there ain’t much draft shit to discuss.

Might just be the “too many requests” glitch, but my pal Nutz usually posts a tons of draft shit around this time. I love welcoming him back with shit like, yo Nutz, still listening to Tupac and showing Remember the Titans to your players?

As an aside, I am shitting off frogskins at the poker tables, so if anyone wanna know about that shit, lemme know.

Yeah, this is the 1st time in about 40 years the Packers go into the draft without a 1st round pick. Twice they traded out of the 1st round and then drafted Jordy Nelson and...ahem...Kevin King. Problems with the sire probably don't help either. Just a different kind of year.

I am having a hard time reading through any of the 1st round mock drafts after the top 5 picks without losing interest.

I reckon, I can only name two prospects from this draft. The Indiana hotshot Spanish QB, Francisco Medella and your beloved Notre Dame’s chunky RB, Jeremy Love.

I had completely forgotten the Packers had two firsts that year. They traded 17 to the Falcons. At 5 they took the immortal Buckley.

I was paying more attention to the Browns at the time and they took Touchdown Tommy Vardell at 9.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

If Joe Exotic (Dunker) falls into the 5th round, sure. Using high draft pick on a Yokozuna is dumber than Vrabal hanging out with Russini by the pool.

In todays FA game where everyone gets a record contract you have to hit on your draft picks to go the distance. Gutes has spent us to the limit with Love and a bunch of overpaid free agents. We have very little homegrown talent in the Gutes era and he has missed on pick after pick. Ironically his best pick yet was probably made in the 3rd round (when I declared the curse over).

We need 3 Evan Williams type guys from this draft to have a chance. We can't spend on anyone with our cap situation and the only solution is to hit our picks. Same as it ever was. The difference in this era is that you can miss on back to back drafts, spend away the problem and then have a stellar draft and it pays off. Gutes has had exactly one stellar draft in my opinion and that isn't enough.
