  • Official Fire Jonathan Gannon Thread

Jonathan Gannon? Rich Gannon probably would have been better. Fire his ass.
    I can't run no more
    With that lawless crowd
While the killers in high places
    Say their prayers out loud
But they've summoned, they've summoned up
    A thundercloud
They're going to hear from me - Leonard Cohen

It seems quite uninspiring. But so did Halfley.

I don't like it, but what do i know?

    Was hoping for Leonhard.

It sounds like The Flower really had the hots for this guy. Liked that he'd been a HC.

    Meh, to me.

      From a hiring perspective:

If it's true Leonhard declined the DC job several years ago, then Gannon knocks the interview out of the park, I don't see why you would wait for the potential of he who previously declined and risk the loss of he who knocked it out of the park.

It's a bit like turning down a hot woman who fits all of your criteria and is really into you, for a hot woman who previously rejected you.

If we hired Leonard instead of hafley 2 years ago like a lot of us begged for we might look a lot better now.

You don’t even know that he wanted the job Bobble. He’s a pass game coordinator in the NFL. Not Tom Landry.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

            I believe we would be

Haffley, was solid, but not spectacular.

But the dude, could TALK a great game and sell ice to eskimos. You knew our DC was getting a head coaching job.

We don't have to worry about our current DC getting a head coaching job anytime soon....so we do have that

I only saw Tom Landry as a head coach.

Was he a great DC first ?

By the say, Jimmy is also an assistant head coach, the artificial position created when you deem a coach incredibly valuable to your future so you pay him more.

We have one of those too, don't we...................wait....its .............

Tom Landry invented the Flex Defense, in part, to stop the Packers power sweep. He was the Giants DC when Lombardi was their OC.

I think the problem with your analogy is that many posters here don't see Gannon as a hot woman. They see him more like a woman who used to be hot because she had good makeup and outfits, but has since skanked out.

AZ Cardinals = Skank. I think that fits.

Rich Gannon is the Easy Chick that you don't even consider at 9PM but starts looking good as the bar is closing and you have beer goggles and are out of options

                        Fire Jonathon Gannon now!

And fire Matt LeFleur after next season if the Packers flame out again.

And fire the team doctor too - injuries caused the badness this year, if it happens again, blame him.
What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?

So you're telling me he wanted to be a DB coach instead of the Packers DC?? Doubtful.
