  • Jim Leonhard is the new DC of the Bills

Good for him. I hope he is as successful as he has been everywhere.

Unlike Settling like Green Bay did, KUDOS to the Bills, right or wrong, for having the STONES to make changes.

Flower is doing his best to roll it all back on offense and special teams while Richie Gannon puts together the rest
TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

I wish him luck, within limitations anyway. Good he's coaching for a team we very seldom play.

I have to say, though, with apologies to Bretsky, I was only lukewarm about Leonhard's defense with the Badgers. Hopefully, Gannon will do better for the Packers.
What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?

oh Tex I miss our old arguments. JIMMY always got great play for the talent he had.

If you can't agree with that I guess you stand with Tank ))

It will be a fun comparison next season between Leohnard and Gannon. It will be interesting to see what type of staff he puts together.

I think that is usually the big question when it comes to young's coaches getting their first DC opportunities.

As far as Gannon, using his Time against him as HC of the Cardinals doesn't really mean much. There is a long list of top tier DC's that sucked as a head coach.

Joseph, Flores, Fangio, Salah are just the first few that come to mind.

What does the hiring of Jim Leonhard have to do with the Packers?
A bunch of homers wanted him hired, but I believe that he had a strong lean towards the Bills right from the start.
I’ll put my money on Gannon.

You think Gannon is going to lead the Green Bay defense to a SuperBowl before Buffalo gets there ?

Don’t know if the Packers will make the Superbowl.
I wouldn’t put any money on Joe Brady/Jim Leonhard/Brandon Beane.

Yes. Buffalo is on the downside of their talent years. And their new Team President is/was their terrible GM. Buffalo is old and getting older.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

I suppose that means if Leonhard's defense does really well this year, then maybe GB not hiring him was a mistake. Unless Gannon's GB defense does equally well.

                      It's hard to compare.

What do a lot of posts about the NFL have to do with the packers....oh, the NFL....now I get it.

If Gannon does a stellar job I'll call it a good hire as that would be 2 places he excelled as DC. Even if Leonhard does well.

As to sparkey's post, Saleh had a really good defense when he was the HC. Gannon's unit sucked. Can't recall on the rest, but Flores has had good Ds in more than one place as well. Gannon needs to prove to me it wasn't smoke and mirrors in philly. I hope he does.
