IIRC, the Cards were one of the teams with the most $ on IR at the end of the season.

hahahaha. I didn't really recall that Tank/APB was against Leonhard. If so, he was probably just jealous that a different undersized non-scholarship DB from the state of Wisconsin could rise to such heights.

What I meant was simply that when Leonhard coached for Wisconsin, I wasn't overly enthused with the performance of the defense. Maybe you're right that part of that was talent level, but the Badgers have had a LOT of guys go to the NFL, and not all of them were O Linemen and RBs.

All good. So hard to read context in print. Seemed like you were genuinely irritated as I read it.

Leonard is going to kick ass and he's beloved by Buffalo as fans are stoked and he killed it in his presser. Not that it means anything.....and we all know the Flower is going to embrace and keep Richie Gannon because he rarely lets coaches go. And Gannon's not getting a head gig anytime soon

So who is our coach after the FLOWER departs ? Jimmy Leonard or Senn Mannion ??
TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

You often judged Jimmy by his teams performance versus Ohio State, which, you'll get a kick out of my verbiage, was a real "dumb ass" thing to do.

When the Badgers defense was number one in the nation, they were not even remotely, close to that talented. JImmy was a master schemer; taught average talent defenses how to scheme and attack and play down hill.

ALWAYS outperformed their talent......Jimmy was the oppposite of Joe Barry.

I watched the Denver playoff win and said to my son; this might cost Green Bay the best defensive coordinator on the market because our coach is a p'ssy and may not wait.

Then I was convinced Flower grew some stones. And I was wrong

I tend to agree with some of that - attack and play down hill, etc. It does seem, though, like they gave up too much yardage and points a lot of times, not just against Ohio State. I also question whether they had all that bad talent. True, they didn't have a bunch of 5 stars like Ohio State, but they had some pretty damn good players who went on to play in the NFL during Leonhard's years. I'm not sure LaFleur really wanted Leonhard. I know they have that no contact rule, but I suspect there are ways - going through third parties or whatever to get around that and find out if a guy would be willing to accept an offer even when technically you can't talk to him. I have enough faith in LaFleur to be optimistic about Gannon - who I suspect is the guy LaFleur mostly wanted. He blew it with Barry, but he seemingly made a good choice with Hafley. So I guess we'll see.

I'm reasonably sure LaFleur ain't going anywhere for a long time.

no, he is 17; and for what it's worth he didn't use the word p'ssy. But he did not that comeback may cost Green Bay since they'd have to wait longer for JIMMY

Saw your new signature. I still think "Turd" Ferguson was one of the great football nicknames.

Not Mike Sherman's best move, though to his credit he did draft Javon Walker, who was brilliant until it went to his head.

And Ron Wolf picked Vonnie Holliday instead of Randy Moss. Everyone fucks up. It's just that some fuck up more than others.

Ted Thompson was a great GM until he started suffering from dementia, and even at the end, he had picks like Kenny Clark. Too bad he suffered from dementia. You wonder how it affected his decision making.

Many know this about me, but I bleed red and white.

In terms of me as a fan, I would go, Badgers, then Packers, then Bucks, then Brewers

This one is going to sting a long long time and the direhard Badger fans consider this another Bone job and spinelss move be the Flower

Leonard turned down an offer from the Packers previously, apparently due to loyalty to the program that gave him the chance for a college career. We don't know if he might have chosen the Bills over the Packers because of loyalty to the team that gave him his chance for an NFL career.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. If LaFleur wanted both, picking the one immediately available and ready to commit was the absolute correct decision. Waiting for Leonard, then having him choose the Bills over the Packers could have been a huge mistake if his other top options had already also committed to others. Instead of choosing between options 1a and 1b, he could have been choosing from options 5 and 6, or even worse.
