ONE DRIVE, ONE GAME........MANNING, BRADY, OR FAVRE ??
I'd probably pick Favre, Brady, Manning then. Favre and Brady are close, but I'll be the homer. In his prime, I think Favre was the best QB of the three. He won big games, and he won games late. Brady has done this also, but I just don't see him being quite as good right now as Favre was in his prime. Manning is a great QB. He just hasn't done much in these types of situations. Not enough to pick him over the other two.
"There's a lot of interest in the draft. It's great. But quite frankly, most of the people that are commenting on it don't know anything about what they are talking about."--Ted Thompson
Since I hate Brady and think he's one of the most overhyped plaers in the game, mine looks like this.
1. Manning
2. Favre
3. Brady
I really don't like Brady because I think he's a system QB that's won championships because of his team. You could put Koy Detmer on the Patriots teams that won the Super Bowls and then Koy would be hyped as one of the best ever. Another reason I don't like Brady is because he's cocky, full of himself, and just doesn't have that swagger you look for in a hall of fame QB. He's just not that special.
Brett gets a huge edge cause he can make throws the other 2 can't. However #04 is more prone to throwing a pick than Brady.
Brady
Favre
Manning
Perhaps you've forgotten Brady's picks.... The most recent example being the SD game. Another one that comes to mind is late in the 4th qtr of the SB against the Panthers, he threw a pick in the end zone that could have been the end of the game. But after Carolina marched down the field to tie the game, they handed the Pats a short field on the ensuring kick-off -- and a couple of plays later, Vinateri pulls another one out.
Again - Brady is very, very good... but he's on a team that is coached to believe that every player on the team will have the opportunity to make a play that can win the game for them -- and he should take it. So yes, Brady makes plays.... but so do Bruschi, Harrison, Branch, Mulroney, Samuel et al. Last week it was Troy Brown. Who will it be next time?
But go ahead... just keep forgetting Brady's ints in critical situations and believing that he is why that team keeps winning.
"It's mind over matter... if you don't mind, it don't matter." - #4, Brett Favre

Ya gotta read the question and the scenario again my friend. It stipulated when all 3 were in their prime. Your giving me recent games. Brady is not in his prime in my opinion. When he was, he was winning super bowls. Now if you change the parameters of the question and put Favre on those Patriot Super bowl teams, then I believe he would be the best QB out of the 3.
I've always hated these kinds of questions because how can you compare players in the ultimate team sport on an individual basis? You have to give all 3 the exact same scenario in order to compare and that is impossible.
All you can really say that out of these 3, Brett has the best arm and biggest heart. Brady learned to read defenses faster than Brett did. As far as Manning goes, I think he's over-rated. He chokes in big games and has always had very talented offenses. He's for the most part always had solid protection, a good RB and the most talented WR's out of the 3.
If you're really interested inthis question, there's a raging debate on JS - actually there have been several threads going back and forth about the different QBs. Who is the best ever and who is better Favre or Brady. It's interesting to see the 'stat' guys fight with the 'game situation' guys. It's also interesting to see the breakdown of individual games - like the AFC Championship game a couple years back where NE beat Pittsburgh 41-21, yet Brady only threw 12 completions for 112 yards and no TDs. Could you imagine Favre beating the 1993-1995 Cowboys with that kind of game?
All Time:
ONE PLAY: Favre
ONE DRIVE: Brady
ONE GAME: Montana
ONE GAG REFLEX: Manning

Brady in all their primes and anyone who would want Brett over the top 10 of the leagues QB's is smokin something. He was one of the lowest rated QB's in the past two years.
