i love how 50% of that forum just revolves around him and the other rumor mongers

i was looking there yesterday to see what they were saying about this. saw a few posts and threads asking what joe thought of this deal, wheres joe? why isn't joe talking about this?

thats another reason i left. a lot of folks on that board just give a shit about the people that say they have inside info, everyone else's posts don't matter

someone asks a question, me or someone else answers, original poster then just asks what joe thinks without looking at what you wrote.

seemed like a waste of time to post anything after awhile.

you wonder why they even need a message board, just do a PFT style rumor page and call it good

but on the plus side, it looks like we're going to be players for ever single decent free agent and draft pick out there

There are two interesting phenomena with regards to Arrigo. First, the PC posters live and die by his rumors. They absolutely love them and can't wait for more. And, on PR there are a group of people that will open every thread about Arrigo and spout off about how they hate his rumors (but they love to tell you how much they hate them).

Me, I read them and enjoy.

This is a load of major crap. I posted the rumor here the night before PC even had their story up. I got it from a queens forum where they said it was on KFAN. EVen JSO had a thread about it the night before. so I dont know how this chump can even try to claim he said it first. Lame.

This place's community originated from the anarchy of JS. The core here can all handle their own and have a certain flava that I like. There are a few rules now, but the spirit is unlike any board around.

My last post was a little OT. Joe Arrigo has a nice gig going there but I'm not one who's too concerned with rumors. I like talking football and developign new thoughts on football. This place has a great community for doing that.

It is good fodder though. I'm glad we post it here. We also get all the ESPN stuff and the JS stuff. That is one of the best advantages is that nothing is off limits.

They have a groupthink mentality often like lemmings. A few posters are always right no matter what and you are a low life cretin "hater" if you disagree no matter how many facts and references you possess. Half the posts are "great post by _____ ". While politics should generally be avoided there is a lot of left wing politics there. They relish being "PC" Packer Chatters.

I did get invited to PackerRats from there when I caught and called a guy out on plagerizing a post from another forum and calling it his own. It originally was here and another place.

As to "Joe", the classic last year was for weeks the Packers trading up to get Reggie Bush.

A true insider would know that lots of discussions take place but the deals aren't made. An insider would say the Packers are asking what the price of a trade for _____ would be or a team is asking what it would take to trade ____. In the real world there are many proposals and counter proposals and eventually one side finding a cheaper/better option elsewhere.

How hard is it to say "Look for the Packers to try and nail down a deal with Ahman Green before free agency."

Some people enjoy reading fiction but you don't have to turn your brain off to do it. There is no reason to worship Joe or hang on his every word or spread it to every possible Packer discussion board. If you like go read it.

The 'rumors' from this poster can be categorized into 4 areas:

1. Things that are obvious - 'Packers will give PLAYERX a chance to start'
2. Those that can never be verified - 'Packers have a deal in place w/Moss and are hope they can work out the details'
3. And those that are very vague - 'The Packers are interested bringing in a top FA early'
4. Covered his bases - 'The Packers are interested in these 50 FAs . . .'
4. Completely made up BS

Every time he gets specific:

The Pack is trading up to get Bush
The Packers are going to hire Bates to be the HC
etc

he fails.

I think it is funny that last year he listed 40+ FAs the Packers were interested in - 2 that were no on the list, Manual and Pickett.
