Well, out of the blue a bit. Harrell is a guy that I've liked quite a bit (a top 10 pick before his injury). We'll see. Pretty surprised, but not totally unhappy because I've said that you take a DL if you think the guy can be a real difference maker. The guy better be damned good though. I wonder if this means a Moss deal is indeed going down. Here's hoping for Sidney Rice or Brian Leonard in round 2.
My DL rankings that I posted a couple of days ago. I actually had Harrell ranked above Branch.
1. AMOBI OKOYE
2. JUSTIN HARRELL
3. ALAN BRANCH
4. QUINN PITCOCK
5. BRANDON MEBANE
6. DEMARCUS TYLER
7. MARCUS THOMAS
8. RAY McDONALD
9. TURK McBRIDE
10. KAREEM BROWN
11. DEREK LANDRI
12. ANTONIO JOHNSON
"There's a lot of interest in the draft. It's great. But quite frankly, most of the people that are commenting on it don't know anything about what they are talking about."--Ted Thompson
well, maybe Jennings, Robinson, Driver, and the young guns that played great in the finale at Chicago is enough for TT. Who knows? They were pretty impressive in that game when given the opportunity, and remember, Robinson is a Pro Bowl kick returner, and a better receiver than ANY receiver left on the board here in the draft. So, I dont hate the pick, defensive line is SO important. They are saying that he was in the top ten if not for the injury. If thats true, good scouting TT.
"...one thing about me during the course of a game, I get emotional and say things my grandmother lets me know about later. But nobody wants to win on that field anymore than I do, no one." Brett Favre
Oh where there is smoke there is fire, Moss could very well be a Packer today. TT is building a great defense, noone on here may know this, being big 11 country and all. The Vols run defense was horrible last year, and it was mainly because Harrel was lost. Who do you think helped shut down Marshawn Lynch when Cal played them the first game, or Florida the 3rd game.
"I firmly believe that any man's finest hour, the greatest fulfillment of all that he holds dear, is that moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle - victorious." - Vince Lombardi
Kiper has stated numerous times that without his injury last season, he is a top 10 pick.
He's very intriguing that is for sure. He's not known because of the injury but he sounds like a guy with a ton of upside and he loves football according to that tennessee guy here.
TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER
If he didn't get hurt he's a top ten pick. This is kind of crafty on TT's part. I saw the game where he played hurt, he's good. Not to mention, number 92 from Tennessee.

KEITH KIDD: With 16th pick Green Bay selects Justin Harrell. Green Bay is a true value team, they rely heavily on their player stack, and Harrell was easily the best player on the board. The addition of Harrell continues to the youth movement of the defensive side. Thompson is building this team around a tough defense. I thought the pick here could have been Alan Branch or a playmaking WR. Harrell is an impresive athlete for his size, but has never been a really effective inside pass rusher. But he has potenital to develop into a good two down player in the NFL. It is a little bit of a reach in our view since he was ranked 30th on our board.
