You see what's happening, right, in skipping over the Gabe Watsons and Ko Simpsons of the draft? Teddy is staying true to his word - he wants good people in the locker room. Let Denny Green try to motivate a lazy, underacheiving defensive tackle (we already have one of those in Donnell Washington, anyway). Let the Falcons deal with a talented a--hole like Jimmy Williams.

In fact, in the reading I"ve done about the draft this year, this emphasis on character is a new trend around the league.

I'm NAIVE on this; was Ko Simpson considered a character risk ? I know of Watson, but I thought Simpson was just fine attitude wise ??

Rodgers is a huge reach. I ain't happy. Packers probably could have waited and gotten him in the fifth.

I dunno. At draft time last year, Collins was a reach but we later found out other teams had (quietly) moved him up their boards. He probably wouldn't have been there for our third.

Interesting though - he's supposed to be a KR/PR, but apprently lacks ideal speed (from Rastak's post). It's pretty hard to 'make guys miss' on ST plays. Wonder if he can do it.

I'm not sure how much attention Ted pays to other peoples board. It'd just be guesswork anyway. And at this stage in the draft players really shouldn't be called a reach. They are all obscure for one reason or another.
