Traded 36 for 52 and 75 to NE.
      Traded Walker for 37.
      Traded 37 and 139 for 47, 93, and 148.

So we pick 47, 52, 75, 93 and 148 in these trades. Essentially, we got 5 picks for Walker and #36. I think.
      4 more picks today then.
      Thanks Ted!

Teams get hot and bothered, like Sherman used to, and focus on a certain player and overpay to get them. Given the many "needs" of this Packer team coming into the draft, acquiring more picks is huge.

Of course, the trick of all this is TT hitting on these extra picks when he chooses. We are either seeing the initial foundation of a SB quality team being picked in this draft....or TT will find himself on the run out of town in a few years. There is no in between here.
I completely agree with Esoxx's analysis here. TT is a damn poker player. This is so, so much more satisfying than watching Shermy trade away half the damn draft so he can grab a punter or an overrated defensive tackle from Clemson or Ohio State.

And JWalk was going to be a cancer. To get a high second rounder for that is good, esp. given his injury.
Name one WR better than walker thompson can get out of this draft. name one.

instead of quality, thompson is going for quantity. that is the work of a fuck up. fuck fuck fuck. i cant stop say fuck cos thompson keeps fucking up. fuck.

                PACKERS GET: # 47, #52, #75, #93, #148

So we came ahead of on this trade.

                Before we had 1 2nd rounder, 1 3rd rounder, 1 5th rounder
                Now we have 2 2nd rounders, 3 3rd rounders, 1 5th rounder

                • So...

Now we're short a WR... So, obviously, we'll take one with one of the 5 second & 3rd rounders.

                  Anyone got a guess?

It only means something if he produces more players with the picks. He must think more of the guys at 47-90 than the rest of the league.

5 picks away....who do we want?

we still need just about everything but a kicker and punter.

                          • OK, this is a great job. Thanks for spelling this out for me. TT is kicking ass here. 6 picks on the first day is really impressive. I am all about it. Wouldn't be surprised if he picks up a fourth as well.

I wouldn't mind - but not until we have a WR and OLineman.
