I didn't see him play much in college, but here is his scouting report

    Strengths:
Has ideal height as well as the frame to get bigger...He has very good hands...A terrific athlete with fantastic timed speed...Runs excellent routes and knows how to get open...A much better blocker than he is given credit for...Can create after the catch...Somewhat of a wide receiver in a tight end's body and was really the Hurricanes top target at times...Still has some upside...Is also able to long-snap.

    Weaknesses:
Does not have the ideal bulk that you look for...He is coming off of a sub par 2006 season...Won't break many tackles...He wasn't utilized as a deep / vertical threat much in college...Has room for improvement as a blocker...Durability is a concern.
TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

Right, he has good hands. I am not questioning that. I question his concentration and desire for the game. He has a knack for dropping the ball in games.

Driver and Tauscher were reaches??? Both were 7th rounders, how could they be reaches?

          Damned, beat me to it.

Tauscher: 224 of 254 players selected in 2000
Driver: 213 of 253 players selected in 1999

I'm starting to wonder, as Partial has, if Merlin could possibly believe what he types.

Never let facts get in the way of a good rant.

I've watched quite a few Miami games over the last 10+ years. They should call that place TE U.

Olsen will never be a good blocker, but he'll eventually become adequate IMO. As someone said in another thread, he couldnt block my grandma.

The kid has great hands though Partial, in game or out. He's a TE, so his route running is hardly a huge issue. 5-7 yard in our out, seam. He's very fast for his position, so the seam route will be his bread and butter.

The results of the contest are in.

8 people correctly predicted that Johnny Jolly would be the starter. Congratulations.

And 19 sore losers say, "it doesn't matter because they are going to rotate."
