    Favre's 2007 pace:

    448 completions (record 418 - Gannon 2002)
    680 attempts (record 691 - Bledsoe 1994)
    4,820 yds (record 5,084 - Marino 1984)
32 TDs (would be his NINTH season with 30 or more TD passes)
I hope that he is just warming up.

Perhaps not as easy as it may appear. Manning is that close primarily because of a single season, when he threw 49 TDs. Otherwise, he only has two other seasons with more than 30 TDs, 31 last season and 33 in 2000. The six remaining seasons he threw 26, 26, 26, 27, 29, 28. He is already 31 years old, and would be 33 if Favre retires in 2009. A lot of QBs start declining about then, and play only a couple more seasons. There is no reason to assume he can play at the same level after age 35, or that he will even still be playing at 37. Not many do.
