I'm going to say at least two "Favres" out of Madden for every offensive play the Packers run, so I'm saying ~120.

Packers average 17 plays for every quarter. Madden has 2.5 Favres for every play. So 42.5 per quarter.
Bears average 13 plays per quarter and Madden has .5 Favre for every play so 6.5 per quarter
That's 197 Favres without considering touchdowns or big plays.
Favre is averaging 3 big plays a game and on big plays Madden has 3 more Favres than a regular play. So that's another 9 Favres.
Favre should put up three passing touchdowns against the Bears. Madden has 5 more Favres for every touchdown. So that's another 15 Favres.
I'm guessing 221 Favres on the button.

Whenever Madden says his name, it counts. It doesn't matter if it refers to the game or what he ate before the game or his pants falling down by accident on the sidelines.Originally posted by BallHawkWe are just talking commentary right?
If he says "Brett Favre was tackled" does that count?
The play by play is done by Al Michaels...none of Al's references will count, only Madden's. If Madden says "Brett Favre is a great player because Brett knows how to throw a football and Brett knows how to read a defense" then that would be 3 more references added to the count. I'm not counting pronouns here...he or him doesn't count. Fortunately, I'm not sure Madden is familiar with that part of the English language.
I will also count a reference if Madden actually scribbles Brett's name in some format on the screen with his magic finger. I haven't seen that one yet, but maybe he's been saving it for this game.My signature has NUDITY in it...whatcha gonna do?

My count put Madden at 25 references to Favre by name on Monday night...it could've been higher had McCarthy not run the ball on nearly every meaningful play before 2:00 remaining in the second half.
He seemed to be on some medication tonight...not even the glory shot of guys standing knee deep in sauerkraut could get Madden fully revved up.My signature has NUDITY in it...whatcha gonna do?
