Please don't tell me you are looking for a way to pin the loss on Brett?
Bingo!
Oh no, that can never play any part in a loss!
Yes......ONE bad play by ONE man always makes or breaks a game. Give me a break. Looks like MM was completely out coached by Lovie in the 2nd half.
Does this mean we will see a Retire Brett thread tomorrow?
MM is young and yes tonight. . . up and down.
Lovie has to be some happy for that gift in the second half.

the longest winning streak in college football was broken yesterday by a team from illinois. tonight it was the NFL's version that took a hit. what a crappy football weekend.

and to top it all off, i'm going to lose in FF to a bears fan. i think i need a drink.
Disagree, the fumbles totally changed the entire game. Teams that win the turnover battle usually win the game, very simple.
How did the fumbles change anything bulldog? We were up 10 points at halftime AFTER 3 fumbles. Again...AHEAD ten points.
It wasn't the fumbles. It was McCarthy being a pussie and having Crosby do silly shit kickoffs, giving the Bears excellent field position on every possession. It was McCarthy being a pussie and refusing to continue the successful gameplan that forged a 10 point lead despite 3 turnovers, running the ball over and over as if we were actually successful at it.
This loss is entirely on McCarthy. The first half turnovers prevented a win that could have been salted away early...but McCarthy's second half asshat act lost the game.

I agree. The turnovers and penalties were the difference.
MM does deserve some blame on the playcalling though. He was trying to outsmart the Bears in the 2nd half. He kept dropping back and faking the draw, which seemes to really throw Bretts rythym out of wack. They were also ultra conservative even after they were stopped the first 2 or 3 times.
Jones, Penalties, Playcalling. In that order for me.
EDIT: just saw Vince and bulldog come to the same conclusion
