  • I know it's way to early...

But here is a mock draft of the first round that make me extremely happy.

If the Packers could pick up Steve Slaton that far down in the draft I would cream myself. This guy is the real deal.

I don't know enough about him. If he's a tough small back like Jones-Drew or Barber, I'd be OK with it. If he's a weakling like Morency then I wouldn't be impressed.

He's a slasher back, very quick. He also has excellent hands for a RB. I know it's way to early, but he'd be a great fit for the Packers.

Can't see us spending a 1st round pick after only seeing Jackson for one year.

Well, judging off our running game so far, I don't think that we can afford not to.

I would rather the Packers sign an UFA at the rb position and try to pick a corner in round one. Our corners are getting old even though they are playing stellar ball at the moment.

I too would be overjoyed if they got Slaton. Kid is a straight up stud. Much better than the Cal guy you wanted last year. I wouldn't mind Ray Rice, either.

Slaton is listed at 190 lbs. That's awfully small for a starting RB in the NFL. Unless he has the frame to put in 15-20 lbs., I'd probably pass on him in the 1st round.

I'd rather have Turner to fill our RB position and pick a corner in round one.

190 is too light for this level.

I would much rather have Justin King if he is available. tHE GUY HAS AWESOME ATHLETICISM and is a top notch corner with good measureables. No way in hell does Long go #1 overall. This draft bd is all messed up. It is nebver too ealry to talk NFL draft, come on guys.

                          Jackson Schmackson

He didn't carry the load at the college level; I had high hopes but I've seen nothing to indicate he can be a feature back here.

I'm all for using a #1 on a RB or blowing our wad for Michael Turner
TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

What's next? People wanting us to lose the rest of our games so we can still get a halfway decent pick?

BUt you haven't seen much of anything yet. He hasn't played all that much and he's not up to NFL snuff on pass pro, the O-line has no identity, so his future is uncertain. This is negative-istic glass half-empty stuff. Give it some time.
