Naa; although I do wish we'd have lost one more game last year to get Marshawn Lynch
TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

Steve Slaton's only 5-10 190, but isn't Mike Hart about the same size? Are people down on Hart's potential in the NFL? Bush is 2" taller and 13 pounds heavier, but looks slight (and hasn't accomplished anything in the NFL to date.) On the other hand, Warrick Dunn is 10 lbs lighter and an inch shorter and he's had a productive career, but I don't know if I'd take him in the first round. Who's Slaton like? I don't see a lot of West Virginia games. Honestly I wouldn't care if he's 4'2" and 150 lbs if he made enough plays for us, and honestly that might make for funnier stories.</delurk>

Last year I bitched and moaned that the Packers did not pick up Hank Baskett with the 7 round pick. He actually is in a sophmore slump, or maybe cause the Eagles suck, but he is not doing shit this year, (yet). I'd still like to see him on our roster, but I am very partial.
This years draft, I have another buddy who will be available in the late rounds or even undrafted free agent.
Joe Garcia, Senior safety from from Texas Tech. 6'1" 222 lb
Good open field tackler, good hitter, but shitty 40 times.
In high school, was quite the ball hawk, and always came up with the big pick. Like Hank, a very stand up guy that is humble and doesn't do the stupid crap. Longshot to make a NFL roster, but it would be great to see him brought in for a look.
Plus, I think he would hook me up with some Packer gear.
One of the local fans of Hank made the trip to Green Bay for the Eagles game and Hank got him on the sideline during the game, something I may try to do if/when the Eagles come back to town.

Too early to think about this...but I would venture to guess that the running game is going to get a lot of attention from this draft. We need a high talent guy to be THE GUY back there. We don't have that right now. We have a nice supporting cast, just no stud.
OL will need more depth too. Tauscher and Clifton can't be counted on to be consistent performers going forward any longer. In fact, it is unlikely they will remain in GB after their contracts expire. My signature has NUDITY in it...whatcha gonna do?

Is there any info from the web on this kid? I googled his name, and didn't find anything, except a musician by same name.Originally posted by b bulldogI would much rather have Justin King if he is available. tHE GUY HAS AWESOME ATHLETICISM and is a top notch corner with good measureables. No way in hell does Long go #1 overall. This draft bd is all messed up. It is nebver too ealry to talk NFL draft, come on guys."Everyone is entitled to his own opinion, but not his own facts." -Daniel Patrick Moynihan

Originally posted by JustinHarrellIf there was a stud DT, and that was the best player it would suck. Harrell, Williams and Jolly are all young, long term players for this team. Pickett is on his way out in two years. Cole is just so/so. Muir hasn't shown much other than being better than the 53rd best player.
I wouldn't jump off any cliffs if we drafted a DT, but he'd have to be the best by a long shot. Even if you have 4 good WR's, you don't pass up on Randy Moss for Vonnie Holliday. You shouldn't pass up on Shawn Rodgers for Ahmad Carroll either. Point is, if there is a stud there and we have to let Cole and Muir go, I guess it's not the end of the world. I just hope it doesn't come to that. I hope the best player is at a position other than DT because this place will erupt if it went down that way.
I still wonder if TT is going to let Williams walk; this season has shown that he's really needed on this roster IMOTERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

He's a solid player, but I think you overstate his importance a tad.
Anybody else get the bad feeling that if the Packers made the playoffs, they'd be better off not getting home field advantage? With our running game, it might be next to impossible for us to win a game in Lambeau in January. Also, we've played better on the road than at home the last two years."There's a lot of interest in the draft. It's great. But quite frankly, most of the people that are commenting on it don't know anything about what they are talking about."--Ted Thompson

Hmmm, you are calling for a road game in the playoffs? Maybe I'm inferring that from your comment. I think the lack of running game will bite them in the ass eventually but getting into the playoffs is the main objective and the current lineup should get them there.
I'd say if Favre is hot they could overcome a game in Lambeau in the cold with no running game.

Last year as the season wore on, the running game improved somewhat. I'm hoping for the same outcome this year.Originally posted by RastakOriginally posted by HarveyWallbangersHe's a solid player, but I think you overstate his importance a tad.

NO WAY
Cold cold weather; Favre is fine in that. GB will react better in that.

yea this team is usually a 2nd stretch of the season team. as far as the draft goes, I would be pleased with Steve Slaton he is a stud. Not very big but lightning fast. Ray Rice woud be a very nice pick. I see next year the Pack letthing go of Herron and maybe Wynn or Morency, keeping either of them and having Jackson, and possibly a new RB. Micheal Turner would be nice but I definitely do not see SD parting with him, or vice versa.
