Thank God I don't bet on football. I probably would have put $100 on the Rams with opening odds at 18-1 to win the NFC. I really thought they had a decent team, and as good a chance as anyone else to win the division.

Hard to believe GB opened with the same odds as Atlanta. Even though I predicted 8-8 for the Packers, I still would have put money on GB over Atlanta at 25-1 for the NFC, 75-1 for the Super Bowl.

According to the oddsmakers, GB is officially the biggest surprise of the season.

Some of those numbers are pretty wild.

NE at 5/9? Who the heck ever heard of a line like that, with the season not even half over? Dallas is a pretty heavy favorite as well.

Gota like those 1000-1 odds. 'bout right though.

Cleveland is one that stands out. I'd say they're playing better than expected, but maybe it's more a reflection of how well NE is playing, as opposed to how Cleveland is doing. Same with KC.

Detroit gets no respects, being ranked below Chicago. But then, why should they?

40/1 for Baltimore to win the Super Bowl.

          Hell, I'd bet on that.

Weekend of the jax preseason game

I was in vegas in august - the weekend of the jax preseason game. I put a nice bet down on the packers to win the NFC north at 8-1 odds.

There are too many variables to make an "Accurate" bet--injuries, momemtum, officiating calls, etc.

I am surprised to see the Packers are 1/3 chance of winning the NFC Championship game. Most people are aware the Packers have no running game, therefore, no balanced offensive attack.

                  Welcome to the forum man!

I was in Tahoe a week ago and had thought of putting down some cash but didnt get to. YOu get $8 for every $1 you bet? So if someone had bet on the Packers back when they where 75-1 that means they get $75 for every $1 bet?
